Aye, I see your point!
Anyways, it is with great sorrow that I must run for the sun...I have a pub to look after and all that, after all .
have a nice weekend all, and I will try to do the same...and rest assured everyone will be kept posted if there are any new developments .

(Keeping fingers crossed for a melodrama-free weekend, and hopefully some sort of resolution !

Yes, hope when you read this you've had just the 'melodrama-free' weekend you were hoping for. Uh, resolution? I have got a load of backlog to read, don't I...well, there goes my weekend.

Oh, and for those who are dying of anticipation, my middle name is "Lonsdale". And you can probably work out my first and last names from the fact that my email address is [email protected] ...

I live half a block from the corner of 3rd Street and Londsdale! Any of your relatives settle in North Vancouver?
I have a four barrelled name, you know the third one- McLeod. I use the second and last (obviously), because the first (John) was my father's, my best friend's, and my deliverying doctor's name.

You would think I could spell where I live!

Eh, it's all good...or something like it ....
The weekend was kind of quiet...I wish I could remember where I told ranger about it...rather than having to remember it all again...
..I'll go scouting and hopefully come back with (a copy of) the updates
And I, like zoomer...have four names...
...the second one is Margaret

(Hmm...wasn't as quick as I'd hoped...)
Anyway
...It was a relatively quite weekend...not too much to tell...
On Friday night Evil Luke was out…so called because his name is Luke and he is evil…and I have decided that I will try to be nice to evil people…but not as nice as I used to be…if you know what I mean…which pretty much means I spent the night avoiding him …there was also an Islander guy whom I met the week before because he was talking with one of my boys…so then I spent the rest of the night trying to politely decline the advances of this giant Islander dude…which is always fun
Saturday night was evil…of course we always knew it was going to be evil, because it was Grand Final night (Aussie Rules football)…ran into a lot of people I haven’t seen in ages…Evil Bruce was out (same explanation as Evil Luke), Good Luke (he’s lovely, so that was fine), and this guy who was Old School pub scum (he used to be a pool shark when I started frequenting the pub, but “disappeared” a while ago)…buggered if I can remember his name, but he was an absolute dude. Unfortunately, by the time I realised who it was, and went back to chat with him, he had disappeared…
And of course the boy was out on Saturday night...drunk out of his skull...but I only saw him briefly before the crowd got a little too much for me and I decided to go home...
So not a lot happened, justa bit more than I would've liked...

Hmmmm, ok. Well, my weekend seems relatively sedate compared to that. Fri. night they had an 8-pc band from The U.K. at the club, Trevor Watts & The Celebration Band - 4 saxophones & 2 percussionists - African & Middle Eastern rhythms, GREAT stuff!! I did my own celebratin' later with the tragically short-lived Guinness triplets .
Spent a portion of Sat. on the computer, unfortuunately Sat. night was a washout. They had a recently-formed 'free jazz' trio *rolls eyes*. The one half decent tune they did sounded like whale music. Of course, a night of that called for something stronger, a couple Smirnoff Ice.

Heck, it sounds like you had more fun than I did!
I've been trying to get out and hear more live music (apart from pub cover bands )...and there's a few bacnds we get to check out (either me and my girl or me & my brother)...but there's so much out there...
...and all I have is this weird pub-related debacle
