We now have a door on the porch!!!
And Hootoo donkey has been microchipped; this doesn't mean he has been eaten, but He Is Official.
Very strong winds here today; which is great, boils the batteries up nicely after all those days of calm & no sun. Yippee; i can use Henry the Hoover& washing machine!

Terri, if I ever get into one of my energetic moods, I may try some pole dancing and even
One sight, I have not seen is dancing on lap top (lap dancing) computers, or even people dancing on their knees.

I tend to give up on-online questionaire's as I find most of the questions, I cannot answer as they don't relate to me and I also they seem to go on and on, have not got the patience to complete them.

Same here! But i wanted to do this one; you get loads of Brownie points, which can be exchanged for free ; home-based wOrk seems the only option i can do at the moment...
BUT: Now have definite flight booking & travel itinerary for Hootoo German meet...please send hootoo to P for organising & funding this "You need a break, need to meet these nice internet fiends"
He really is a very nice person.I feel blessed that i met him & would say that online dating sites *can* work; we met through OK Cupid, via recommendation from Aye Bee Wench.
What are other folks experiences of online dating stuff?

Hey Terri, glad to hear you got some strong winds to power up those batteries.
Not much experience with online dating. I'm probably way too picky.

Hello Terri my experience of on-line dating sites is not very good as I have had my fair share of strange people but now I use it only for friendship and shared interests which mine is Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Star Wars and the X-Men, (it would make a great idea for a new story/film) the Dark Lord (Lord Voldemort)meets the other Dark Lord, - Lord Vader, Harry Potter meets Doctor Who and Professor Charles Xavier meets up with Professor Albus Dumbledore all together in the same storyline.

Wow!Great plot!
Do they all meet up in the ? You could throw in a few h2g2 characters, an Infinity drive...& stencil '42 here we go!' on the side.
Hmm, JEllen, know what you mean about being picky; i spent ages lurking various persons; which i guess we might not do in RL. I actually nearly dropped P as an option early on; i felt his profile sounded self-negative & certainly didn't want another neurotic man! But other aspects appealed to me, so i messaged him. At least with online dating; most folks expect to have rejections after initial contact; so it hurts less than in RL.
P is off again for the weekend, for once it's not wOrk; he's going on a Shamanistic woRkshop:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shamanism
I really hope it helps; he is going through some very heavy family stuff right now; please send hootoo blessings his way.
And my flight is booked to German meet, travelling next to Gnomon on the way out, seeing Aye Beewench en route; ooh, my first 'real' hootoo meet!
How many of 'you lot' have actually met up in RL?
Were the people as you imagined them to be from their online personas?

I don't fall for those ones hun and there have been a few that have tried, I just delete them before I even read it.
Had enough of a Jamaican guy over the road from where I used to live, he kept trying it on and he was old enough to be my dad.
I've made some good friends online but you have to be careful just as in real life

I'll second that AV. There are, unfortunately many read 'bad apples' online. You really have to be careful.....

Plus you have to watch out for those ones that say they are single when if fact they are not and are looking to add some excitement to their lives.

I know you are safely married GT so no worry's there hun
But all in all I look at it this way,at the end of the day you still go to bed alone, you wake up alone, you spend most of the day alone and apart from those few minutes you get talking via a pc you are still alone.
Yes we can develope feelings for those people during time and conversations and such like but a pc cannot replace a hug or a kiss although with smileys we all have tried.

It can come up on you unexpectedly, like it did with me.
A drinking pal of mine turned up one day with his sister....
We had a chat, and I told her I was going to have a job interview. She wished me luck, and said "If you get it, you can buy me a drink" I said "OK".
I got the job, got Trish a drink, and found my wife..........
Fate works if wierd ways AV!!!
Do not give up!!!

Well for over 20 years now I have lived alone, and yes I have two younger children from a guy who said he was single, abit of fun and run as he called it, haven't seen him since he got found out by his wife.Thats how I found out.
To be honest I can't see anything in my future changing from what they are now.I gave up looking long ago hun.
