Happy b'day A little late perhaps - but as soon as I could make it for offline-being in Sweden!

Happy b'day, Elentari! Is a 21st birthday as special in the UK as it is in the US? It's one of our biggies.

Thanks for all the lovely greetings. And of course congratulations to Elentari. My youngest daughter turns 21 in a month's time.
Hyp, in Denmark 21 is a big thing if you make it a big thing. But here you are allowed to vote, sign contracts, marry without the Queen's consent, buy alcohol in bars and restaurants and drive a car when you are 18.
That means my youngest son is an adult - but does he behave and take responsibillity accordingly....?
The banks/state do have a 'saving for children account' for which we don't have to pay tax on the interest, and which can be prolonged for 21 years. Otherwise I cannot think of anything that makes 21 special in Denmark anymore - Pierce?

Thanks all. Here, there isn't anything you can do at 21 that you can't do at 18, except stand for Parliament, and as I have no intention of doing that, it's not a big one in that sense. For some reason, though, 21 is seen as a biggie. I think maybe it relates back to a time when there were things you could only do at 21.

Happy Birthday Tartarone, and Elentari too.
Question, if you become 21 are you still young enough to lead the Liberal Democrats?
