Illinois is separated from Ohio on its east side by the state called Indiana, but no one pays any attention to them except during basketball season.
ok, I'm done....

Illinois can't be that bad. After all, it gave us Abraham Lincoln.
What did Indiana give us? Vice-President Quayle.
Ohio gave us a number of presidents, though.

Hi all
Well, the weekend at the coast was, , restful - couldn't see the sea for the whole weekend - not even the end of the garden - dampy misty (eerie) & foggy - sun came out after husband and had got soaked in a downpour of rain & we'd started packing to come home!!!
Ahem, interesting listening to your "opinions" on your "leaders" - I've given up with our politics

<Can't remember what country Shirps is in, but it probably doesn't matter as far as politics is concerned)

Reagan was born in Danville, Illinois.
You'd think I'd be good at pub quizzes, but they don't ask the right questions here! All my trivia was gathered elsewhere!

Have you all forgotten OHIO gave you 'Pandora'?
Relax Mari, the map I sent Shirps is of the USA. It's left over ffrom the elections. When I saw it I thought to myself, hmm ... might be able to use this some day to show someone in another country where things are over here.
I dragged the picture of the map onto my desk top all by myself.
Not knowing how to use my computer (much) is really getting on my nerves. I have photos that I want to send around. Even though thery're awful.
No matter what I do my picture looks just like me! And someone's always taking my picture when I least expect it. I hate when that happens. ... so, Stagehand tells me all I need is a scanner. I wonder if he knows how heavy that sucker is?!? I've put my picture on the table and passed the scanner over it several times. Nuthin'. And YES the scanner was plugged in! I'm NOT stupid ya' know.

What they've all forgotten to tell you, I suppose, is that you have to put a hook in the ceiling - suspend the scanner from the hook - & then move the picture along underneath it - but slowly mind
d pink again!

That one made me laugh mydamnedself. WR is pretty quick with that wit.
Four days ago the snow was falling. The next day it was in the high 70s F.
Then a storm and three tornados in the US. Today is lovely.
Yep, if you don't like the weather here. Wait ten minutes.
WR what are the temps there now that it's Autum?

Wrinkled Rocker Posted Apr 9, 2005
Our breakfast run last Sunday to go look at wild Cosmos flowers in the countryside about 200kms away (any excuse for a ride!) was rained out...
All week we had great weather with sunshine and mild temperatures.
On Thursday I decided to ride to work for a change on Friday - then the forecast said 80% chance of rain so I didn't ride...and it didn't rain...
We're repeating the run tomorrow... and I'm eyeing the skies tonight. The evenings are getting cooler and the dawn temperatures are around 50-55F but the days are in the high 60's F. But the sun shines most days and the others are only mildly overcast - great riding weather!

There are Harley enthusiasts in my neighborhood
Nice people, all of them, but too much noise is too much noise! Where is sudden deafness when you need it most?

Might I suggest that sir uses a small pair of ear plugs and if none are to hand, a couple of lumps of cheese inserted into one's shell-likes can be just as effective although a tad difficult to remove if the cheese becomes too soft.
Are we discussing the weather and can please can I play too?
I started out walking to town this afternoon sporting several layers of clothing, topped by a quilted jacket and gloves but I was still cold. However, whilst in town, the wind dropped, the sun came out and I ended up having to carry my coat and gloves home with my grocery shopping and don my sunglasses instead! I'm not complaining though, coz I lurve the sunshine!
