I see nothing has changed then
Tabitca Started conversation Jul 8, 2011
Thank you for the congratulations etc from people. As you can see the post has been yiksed, nothing had changed here and the reasons I stayed away have remained the same. You cannot even post you had had a success without someone jumping on it. I am dying, slowly, my lungs are giving up, and may have 5 years left ,some people survive 10, some only 2 so who knows I may be lucky . But what I do know is that life is too short for this over moderation and I don't have the time to worry or think about it. I hope to get the next two parts of the trilogy written and out before I cop it and my non fiction book( Two were in the pipeline, one already has a publisher, but realistically i may only manage one). I get very tired and some days cannot even manage to type.. It will be coming out in hard copy eventually but i don't have the time to wait, hence getting it out on Kindle.
I wish you well hootooers .I should really wipe my page clean and remove all posts in protest but don't have the energy and won't give the yikesing people that satisfaction.I may pop back from time to time to see how everyone is doing but cant promise. I miss some of our lost friends very much especially Pieter,i hope that the rest of you have long and happy lives. I should add I am not unhappy, I have had a great life, a rollercoaster and as nanny Ogg says " I ain't got time for no regretting" So carry on regardless hootooers ,i sadly no longer have the stomach to deal with moderators and yiksers.
love to each and everyone of you xx
Ps excuse spelling etc the drugs I take affect my eyes and I am too vain to wear reading specs .

Dear, I am on a short wire here, but you do have my addresses? Let me call please?
And other short-fused people, this is a woman I have known for some years and I am not "trolling" or pity sake !!!

The book is called Dark Ness by Tabitca Cole.
Sadly, her original posting was yikes'd probably on the grounds that it was advertising a place in kindle. The yikeser could have requested for the link to be hidden, instead of the entire posting.
We still congratulate you, Tabs... And best of wishes in your new writing career

It was just the opening post that was yikes'd. Tabitca must have deleted the journal: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F64517?thread=8250977

Just to give fair warning, Book 2 of the trilogy is a very good one. In my opinion. Do watch for it, when she is ready to announce its publication

Well, well, things do not appear to have changed much over the years.Except lost friends and researchers it appears. There was once a site where all matters of research /conversation were accepted as a collection of the supposedly intelligent beings of this planet and for nothing more than being scrutinised by ones peers for accuracy (on factual matters)all entries were accepted. What in the world have you lot done to this site? or am I not allowed to ask.
Tabitka, congratulations on still being who you are and on getting stuff printed.I would love to know what it was and so ask 'what was it ,that you had published?"
I assume one can still list book titles and give a description of the story without advertising who it is published by etc.
I am sorry to hear about the dreaded illness that has befallen you and as I also have a sister in law who has what may be similar(from the scant bits I have gleaned) would love to share time with you over the net.
Sorry guys and gals I have been away for some years myself and only now returned having travelled around to other countries and nations. That is for another posting at another time when I get the mood to waffle. But, I have done some book reviewing and commenting and movie reviewing and also searching for family history so lots to talk about some time.
I would like to catch up with some of the older researchers but sadly they may have now gone.

Tabitca does not get around much and I am not even sure if she has come onboard this new site. If you go to the UK variety of the business that sells everything though, and type her name as I just have ... some fairly obvious options should appear for you

In fact, look at Post #4 for a beginning. I was not allowed to say anything specific, but some folks are allowed to.

Thanks Nick. I should have put my Conan Doyle hat on and did some proper searching. One day we must talk about all this hush hush stuff or are the powers to be so afraid of litigation that they are choking themselves and us in the process,or is this a symptom of the culture of Great Britain?

Under the BBC, anything seen as advertising or promoting a product was greatly frowned on, mostly. It is still uncertain how tight those rules will be under the new management

Welcome back, Shadow
Putting the name of the book and the author isn't against House Rules.
Sadly the BBC Mods deemed the original links and naming of the publishers to be something entirely different. The last batch were newbie Mods and were rather officious.
As for the new company - Book Reviews are still likely to be discussed, so no problem there then
