I'm in one of my periodic Jam kicks. I don't seem to be able to replace one Jam album on my deck with anything other than another Jam album.
So it set me to thinking: what exactly is my all time favourite Jam track?
That answer I believe is: all of them

The Jam are probably my fave all time band.
I still dont understand how a 3 peice can have such a "big" sound. It always sounds like there are about 12 of them playing.

I don't believe I've ever heard them.
I'm the same way with Dave Matthews, though. There's almost always a Matthews disk in my changer.

That'd be the glory of multitrack recording! But it doesn't detract from their brilliance.
My favourite Jam track is London's Calling, mainly because it pops into my head everytime I see the Thames or go past/over the Westway. And Paul Simenon's simple but perfect bass line.

That is one tough question! I am not sure I can answer it ... but I may stab at ....
No I cant
Oh - dilema
Still I will be off line for a few days while I am away so it will give me something to think about ....

Whenever I'm in central London, I can't help but think of the brilliant 'Strange Town': 'I've got blisters on my feet/Trying to find a friend in Oxford Street.../When you ask in a strange town/They say "Don't know, don't care and I gotta go mate"'. It's still all too accurate and evocative.

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted Jul 26, 2006
The Jam - yet another band I wish I'd gone to see when I had the chance. A friend's bro-in-law picked up on them real early and tried to blag me into going along when they were still a support band but I never took him up on the offer cos there were already so many other good bands playing.
Paul Weller is a god

I managed to luck out of getting tickets to see Weller at Sheffield Uni in November. Feel a bit gutted about that actually.

I broke into Margate Winter Gardens a few years back to see Paul Weller. He was mightily good.
I also broke in to see Shakespear's Sister a coupla' years earlier. They, too, were mightiliy good.
Unfortunately they too to sticking a security guard by the door on the roof that opened next to the lighting rig!
