And yeah, but I had a work thing the same week...

But at least you were aware of it, and might have gone. The place where we held our get-together was across the street from a Caffe Nero, which also has a branch in my neighborhood. I enjoyed the comfort of getting coffee and treats at a place I love.

sneaking up on them, is always the best way with ideas- you need to take them by supprise, just when they're least expecting it, then leap on them, like a hoover nozzle and manipulate them to your design and desires.... Often works well... or disasteriously, depending on your perspective... just be careful to avoid the dust bunnies, en-route

The year is a lot younger than I am .

Sigh. 2020 has been terrible. I've gotten through it on sheer stubborness so far, but I'm exhausted.

My PhD supervisor is actively undermining me, my contract expires in 10 days (and my PhD is tied to it) and if it doesn't get renewed in time, I can't be re-hired for 8 months at least.
