Good idea - I did see this personal plea from Dmitri, so yes, let's use this initiative and see whether we get an influx of pithy Entries.

I have a lot of very fine original recipes, including some for cakes that require no sugar. What holds me back in writing them up is that they aren't very photogenic. I use a plain stainless steel loaf pan. Even if I took a picture of it, it would look kind of blah.
I'm currently enjoying a loaf of sweet potato cake sweetened with the sweet potato itself plus apple juice, a bit of applesauce, and plentiful raisins and spices.
I also have a chocolate applesauce cake recipe, made with cocoa and raisins, among other things.
Mango-orange juice cake is always tasty.
Applesauce-orange juice cake is also a classic.

Well, I would love those recipes, paul, because I have kids, a husband who doesn't like overly sweet cake and an expanding waistline, so I DEMAND you get writing.
The pix thing is an interesting dilema. You could ask the artists for advice? But don't you have a plate collection? I wonder if a slice of each cake on one of those would make a nice picture. We need a scratch and sniff function though. I shall tell Pastey.

ooh, !
You could put the cake on a cutting board, and show off one cut slice, or serve it up on a plate with a glass of sherry or cup of tea? Or being messily devoured by someone? Or even being rejected by ducks? (Sorry, that was tasteless, but I would certainly laugh if my cake was rejected by ducks... I'm silly that way) Bring it to a picnic and serve from a plastic box? Have your uncle hold it up and smile at the camera?

Yes, please paulh! We need these recipes - they all sound really delicious and I'm sure that they'd be helpful to lots of people.
Don't worry about the photos, cos if the recipes are worth reading they are surely worth making and someone with a camera might easily find time to snap a picture before eating the cake.

I have at least a dozen of them, but they're fairly easy to make. Last night I made the mango cake. Next week, I'll make the apricot cake.
