Zoe was definitely one of those 'friends', which was almost worse than those unapproachable types. I lost touch with her years ago, alas, though my ex-girlfriend Nicky's mum is, I'm told, in regular contact with Zoe's mum, who is - presumably - in contact with Zoe!
Do you know, I think this is the first time I've openly admitted liking her to anyone! Mind you, it was hardly the world's best-kept secret...
