Hi, Mikey!

I don't see anything wrong with that -- especially if you're planning on holding on to this job until you can find something else, if possible. Makes sense to me!
Hi, Mikey!
dim26trav Posted Jun 18, 2005
There's no chance I will leave this one until the next one comes along. I am just glad to have income at this time even though it is not enough.
The H-P job pays $11.50 and the positions I'm looking for will pay more than $15.00, some more.
How are things there in Washington?
Hi, Mikey!

Hi, Mikey! I just wanted to drop you a note to say...
that after being gone for three weeks, I have finally dug my way out from under a mountain of homework and other needless obligations to return victorious!
Anyway, Chapter Four of "Adventures of the Peacenik Vogon" is all ready for review and posting in the CAC Continuum, but nobody seems to have noticed it yet. Could you drop in and check that entry out, maybe leave a few comments?
Been dying to get back to Pithy and my time has finally come! You are welcome to join in her glorious return to the high echelons of Vogdom!!!
Glad to get back to you at last! Bye! See you soon!

Hi, Mikey! I just wanted to drop you a note to say...
Ok. I'm new here. Do you have any advice to offer on writing a guide entry? Have been trying to find out how to make a robot emoticon for h2g2. so far only know this one [:], or in Marvin's case more like[: (]

Mikey the Humming Mouse - A3938628 Learn More About the Edited Guide! Posted Jul 14, 2005
Hi, thorn!
I always thought this one was a little robot-looking -- -- what do you think? Probably looks more like a robot than any alien.
What kind of guide entry do you think you'd like to write? What are you most interested in?
Hi, Mikey! well thanks.
Thorn Posted Jul 14, 2005
Just about anything. i'm currently trying to churn out something on the string bass through attacking it from a different angle than the entries that are already there, by talking about different stuff about it . how come a lot of people's personal spaces say things when you check those out, that directly address you above the mini-bio type square-rectangle looking textbox thingy? That's kinda creepy, but is probably automated, no?
Hi, Mikey! well thanks.
Mikey the Humming Mouse - A3938628 Learn More About the Edited Guide! Posted Jul 14, 2005
What angle were you interested in taking on the string bass?
Yup, the creepy name-guessing on personal spaces is automated. There's a help page somewhere on here that explains the GuideML involved -- it's too late at night for me to try finding it myself, but let me know if you can't find it, and I will hunt it down once I'm awake.
Mikey
Hi, Mikey! well thanks.
Kat - From H2G2 Posted Jul 14, 2005
The GuideML for doing the spooky-user thingy is very very simple, which is a happy thing.
If your user space is already written in GuideML, then all you need to do is insert where you want their name to appear...
For example,
Hey there , welcome to my space!
If your Space *isn't* already in GuideML then take a look at <./>GuideML-Clinic</.> and if that confuses you then hollar for Mikey or you can message me at U234368 and I'll be happy to help you.
For future reference, if you see a cool something on someone's user page and you want to know how it's done then you can actually take a look at the coding. In the address bar, replace the A with testuserpage
so instead of http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/U234368 you have http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/testuserpage234368
Hope that was a bit useful, if not then feel free to give me a *look*
Kat
Hi, Mikey! well thanks.

Besider the tag, isn't there also something you have to stick at the very top? Something about watching?
Hi, Mikey! well thanks.
Kat - From H2G2 Posted Jul 14, 2005
You mean the tag I assume? That tag is the one you use to list all the people who have added you to your friends list
Mine's at the bottom of my entry, yours is at the top; I don't think it matters whether it's either although most people seem to have it at the top. I could be wrong so maybe it wouldn't be a good idea to suddenly stick it in the middle.
Hi, Mikey! um, new question.
Thorn Posted Jul 20, 2005
Would a short story go to the underguide?
Not done yet, just wondering in advance. I'm calling it "The Masked Highwayman" and it's a farce hybrid between Zorro and Monty Python. Was talking to Zax and bob about it earlier today. Hopefully eventually it might turn out quite funny.

Hi, Mikey! um, new question.
Mikey the Humming Mouse - A3938628 Learn More About the Edited Guide! Posted Jul 20, 2005
Well, you could definitely submit a short story to the Alternative Wrtiting Workshop (AWW). From there, we have any number of places on h2g2 who look for fiction at the AWW -- the Underguide is one, but there are others as well. If you do submit it there, drop me a note here, and I will try and stop by the thread and read it!
Mikey
Thank you.
peacenik_vogon Posted Jul 26, 2005
I've been submitting a story, chapter by chapter, to the CAC Continuum. It is a Hitchhiker's fan fiction told from a wayward Vogon's point of view: "The Really Wild and Exciting Adventures of the Peacenik Vogon." Mikey already knows all about it (thanks for the constructive criticism, Mikey!). Since the periodical comes out biweekly, I can take my time to write... and rewrite... and rewrite... with much nail-chewing...and way too much chocolate. I'll read yours if you'll read mine.

sure, I'll look @ yours. mine's scarcely an oversized paragraph right now. It's called "The Masked Highwayman" and can probably be accessed from my personal page.

Hey the site's acting all y. Keeps asking me to sign in (again) when I try to "add a thread/reply" Does that mean I got in trouble for arguing on that "Evolutionists are not Christians" thread? If you ask me the thing was rubbish to begin with, in my opinion, but something is starting to tell me that the road to H-e-double hockey sticks hath been paved in moral/political opinions(e.g. rant-ravings). Don't worry though, I don't do the archaic speak thing that often in my writing, 'cuz it can give readers a headache. If I give the readers a headache too often it might result in me receiving electronic y. . That was meant in jest ! Not meant to be ingested.
about the lousy one-liner's...It's seven-thirty A.M. right here, and stayed up late-what no groggy smiley?!+ or+&an perhaps? I really could use some or

You sure seem to be enjoying all the smileys! What's your favorite smiley so far? And your favorite blob (graphic) here on h2g2?
