I have one like that too... it's sort of a home for spiders these days...
We're in the aftermath of an ice storm ala Oklahoma right now. Ick! There are 600,000 people with no electricity, 400,000 of which are in the city and who knows how many without cable. no Inet access!!!
I'm in the school computer lab. Classes don't start til 11am so I'm uh... entertaining myself til then...

We had another ice storm too. Not quite that severe though. Trying to decide if I want to risk life & limb for a job I really don't like... hmm... NO.

Since I paid alot of money for these classes I'm not missing them. Plus I was smart and spent the night at PC's (as in the snuggly footwarmer type) last night. I live all the way across town and he lives minutes from the school. Since his office is right by the school he drove me.
What kind of job do you have that you don't like?

Accountant/cost analysis for WorldCom. Well, I like the job in theory. It's data analysis with databases. That part is fun for me. But I've been doing this for 5 years now and in that time my department has been cut 50% and the work has gone up 200%.

My best friend used to work for WorldCom. In accounting too no less... may have been more than five years ago though.
He left Tulsa for Houston (to work for Andersen no less!) about the same time I moved to NYC.

How wild! What was his name? There are people here who've been here a lot longer than I have and I may have heard stories.

gee Pierce that seems more of a leermark to me..
Emee his name is Chris Lafayette. But as I said it's been a while since he worked there.

Hehehe. I actually don't see what the big deal with eminem is anyway. There were other white guy rappers... I've had that new song of his stuck in my head since yesterday!

The beginning of it sounds like a Led Zepplin song.
