clzoomer- a bit woobly Posted Feb 26, 2005
Too sick and tired to check the backlog ('flu) but did anyone try a Bernard Schwartz tag on iCan? (Goes to pour more lemon tea and honey)

GreyDesk Posted May 3, 2005
The filmnetwork (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/filmnetwork ) lot are at it now
I've just received an e-mail from their moderators saying that my nickname has been reset to 'U165955' as it breaks their house rules. I mean, I don't even get to include the word 'Researcher' in it
Obviously I'm going to be fighting back

Ferrettbadger. The Renegade Master Posted May 3, 2005
Well I found the "Ican" editors really quite pleasant to deal with.
The email they sent me was very nice and apologetic. Hopefully the film people will be the same.

Whisky Posted May 3, 2005
Me too... when they eventually got round to answering my snotty e-mails they were quite apologetic about the whole thing and hadn't realised just what they were getting themselves into.
Mind you, this sort of thing is quite likely to happen every time a new dna site comes on line

Dr E Vibenstein (You know it is, it really is.) Posted May 3, 2005
What was "wrong" with your nickname, GreyDesk? Do we have to recruit an army of Tony Curtises again?
*Sulks*
GreyDesk Posted May 3, 2005
I haven't got a clue what was wrong with it. This is the text of their message to me. You try and work it out

Maybe they are just a bunch of mindless petty jerks who will be the first against the wall when the revolution comes.

Ferrettbadger. The Renegade Master Posted May 3, 2005
So do we have to actually posto n that board to get our names modded or is just changing them to something un-succesfull enough?
*Sulks*
Zak T Duck Posted May 4, 2005
If you're modded for having a spork in your name we all should panic.

Ferrettbadger. The Renegade Master Posted May 4, 2005
My nickname telling the other board mods to sod off got modded .
Cannot our italics tell them to f*ck off?
*Sulks*
GreyDesk Posted May 4, 2005
I don't think that we ahould have a go at them. I'm sure that they aren't aware that a change within their area of DNA affects all the others. The iCan system got changed such that a moderated nickname only affected that site - and that's fine.
What we want is a similar setup for Filmnetwork.
