Haze: Plan C seems to be working

We have the current series, but I don't watch anymore. Once you've done the 'Chicken lover' and 'Dead foetus attached to the head', episodes, theres not much shock value left.

I only shun shovels when they are an implement of destruction and I am in the near vicinity.

Are you in the US? Don't you have like seventy billion channels or something? In Melbourne there are five and half the good shows like South Park are on the government sponsored channels. Don't even get me started on how long it takes for movies to be released here. Too late. Movies come out in the States and then here four months later so we end up with six months of hype. It's a bit like twelve hours of foreplay. Enough already!

You don't get fifty million channels if you live in a town run by bleedin' old-fart Republicans.smiley - sadface

It does, quite frankly, suck. Although we get even less here in college.

Less? What do you get? Documentaries about geese?

Post 30

Lupa Mirabilis, Serious Inquisitor

Not quite that bad. Actually, I think we've got a reasonably good selection of premium channels, but no one here will spring for more than basic cable.

Does anyone else have this phrase 'docu-soap', or is that just the UK?

Documentary about Geese? Funny, that reminds me of a friend of mine named Gerald...

I think some Canuckian film maker once made a film about the shampoo industry. Does that count?

I wouldn't think that inflamed scrotums would be interesting. Less so if you don't have one...
I like the idea of a docu-soap. It sound incredibly tacky and lame which is just my cup of decaf.

Fargo

For those completely unfamiliar with the phrase, a docu-soap is a documentary series where you are intended to 'get to know' the people and follow their 'interesting' lives week after week. One or two have been good but the original good ones have spawned a whole industry of copycat crap. A lot of us in the UK are quietly screaming through our teeth....'get them off!!!'
