Yet another introduction page
Well, I thought I might manage to become the oldest contributing member of H2G2 who hasn't edited their home page, but now I've decided against it. Why? Well, because I feel like writing something even though realistically, I'm too tired to be doing anything of the sort. So... on with the show.
My parents are Turkish and emigrated to Canada, where I was born. After living in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, St. Catherine, Ontario, and Calgary, Alberta as well as reaching the tender age of three and a half, we moved to Saudi Arabia, where I spent my formative years. At the age of fifteen, I went to boarding school in the U.S. (Phillips Exeter Academy, New Hampshire, class of 1996). Then, I came to McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada where I study Electrical Engineering.
I speak English fluently (both American and Canadian with a spattering of HM's English), French at a conversational level, and Turkish at a seven-year-old's level (this having recently upgraded from a five-year-old's level). I was strongly torn deciding what to study in University between engineering, music (B. Mus. Performance (Vocal)), and medicine. I decided to go for the Engineering since it is a professional degree I stand to attain in a reasonable amount of time. I have since acquired reason to be glad of this decision as I find I abhor biology, and I know music doesn't pay, though I do hope to sometime in the future become an opera singer or something of the sort.
I have been called, at various times, a freak, silly, frighteningly intelligent, some drunk's daughter, kind-hearted, and the most sane of the bunch. Upon this last, I have decided to join a new bunch as being the sanest entails much too much responsibility and is not quite what I expected to be called.
Well, seeing as I should go to sleep soon so I can do more homework and also get up early for my intensive weekend of First Aid and CPR class, I shall stop writing now.
