As a writer...

Even as a writer who writes for a hobby and as a small part of their job (actually my website feels like it's written in blood-streaked sweat sometimes), I know that anything I write is my copyright. I don't have to 'claim' copyright over it. Some of my h2g2 articles have been stolen and passed off as other people's work. I live with it, although sometimes I post comments or in guestbooks if possible.

So when I see someone distributing someone elses copyright, and after being asked (by two people, one of them being me) if he had permission, and a brief discussion about how actually it was extremely unlikely he had permission because I was given it as part of a course I paid for, and the other person questioning his permission knows the author and had hosted the course herself. The person distributing the copyright material claimed he considered it in the public domain as it was 'promotional material'.

We are talking about a 38 page document...

It was eventually removed, but who knows where else he has posted it. smiley - sadface He's been unfriended. If I was closer, I'd garotte his goolies.

People

Are harder to manage than a group of dogs, because when the dogs push your limits you can load them into the van and tell them that's the end of their walk as they've been so naughty and you are not walking them anymore today.

With people you can't push them into the van and lock the doors until they do what they are told. Much as you might want to. smiley - grr

Things aren't the same anymore

I thought yesterday's journal would get people talking, but clearly I don't have the same kind of friends as I used to.

Let's try. Hmm... What will get you lot talking?

I know.

Daily Hate Mail story about woman in very small bikini.

Right next to...

Daily Hate Mail story about woman wearing a dress showing less than the bikini being 'too much' as she's 'sweet sixteen'. Of course, they didn't carry on the titilation by showing the girl in her revealing dress. Oh. They did.

I'm sure they are such a shit paper just to get people ANGRY and sharing their crappy stories.

Cropping

So it turns out dating is all a bit too much effort after all (maybe that's why I gave it up in the first place) and I've put him off until tomorrow night, when we're going to a munch and play (not necessarily 'together' but we'll both be there).

He's taking his, and I'm taking mine, and we might well be fighting to see who gets to be smiley - handcuffs
