Proper Goals

So my new website is launched! Very impressed with it I am too. It doesn't sprawl messily across the internet like the last one did, as we kept adding bits to it. Of course, I might add bits to this one too, but will try to keep things under current headings.

I've been working with a business coach who has really helped me narrow down what I want to do and when I think I'll be able to do things by, which is amazing for me. I can't usually think beyond the end of next week - when I orginially wrote my business plan it was just like wild stabs in the dark. I'll be rewriting it with proper actual real 'this is what I want by 2015 and 2018' in it. Of course, I will probably change my mind being a bit of an airhead, but still. Having some Proper Goals I think is a good thing and most unlike me.

oh...

Here's the site.

Suffering from needing TOO MUCH sleep

Years ago (and by years I mean decades) I was drinking so much coffee I made it a rule not to drink it after 6pm. Then 4pm. And for a while, 2pm, as it was affecting my sleep quite badly.

I've just changed the rule to 'you must drink coffee after 6pm' because I'm falling asleep at really stupid times of the evening. I suspect this is because I need another operation on my nose and although I'm waking refreshed in the mornings (between 5&6am usually) I'm not actually getting enough proper sleep as I'm not breathing properly.

Or, it's possibly advanced sleep phase disorder (search engines make everyone a diagnostician), although why I'd suddenly get that I don't know, but 'bright light' therapy in the evening can help, so it's a good job I bought myself a daylight lamp for cross stitching. So I will be bathing under that, sipping my pepsi max, in the hope it will help. Although I quite like waking refreshed at 5am because I can have some time for a quiet bit of reading, then get up to do some work while there isn't anyone else awake to distract me.

Arguing with the vat man

Yes it's good to be in that position re turnover but they can do one!

I am dropping some services, not just for this reason, and creating others, as obviously I need to replace the income. But as the new services will be selling a 'product' to other small businesses (fingers crossed that carries on growing) instead of selling a service to customers I will be opening a second company (legitimately).

For those that don't know you can't split your company into two (which would usually only be for purposes of avoiding VAT) if it's still you working in both ie I can't split dog walking and dog boarding, or the pet care from the dog training because it's still me doing the work.

That the product I am selling is the same service I work in is not the point.
