What a year...
Posted Mar 6, 2014
Having now spent nearly a year on a behaviour modification programme, that includes modifying the behaviour of 3 of my dogs in order to facilitate the change in one of them, plus permanently modifying the behaviour of the two people in the house, plus control of visitors, and is not finished yet, I can truthfully say, if anyone, ever, comes to me for advice on fights in a multi-dog household my advice will now and forever be - permanent separation via kennels (either in or out) or immediate rehoming. I would not wish this last year on anyone - and I don't see how anyone who has a job, a social life, possibly children as well, can possibly put this much emotional effort and amount of time, and change their whole lives, for what is, in the end, just a dog.
Of course, my love for my dogs is indescribable, powerful, and unconditional), and if I rehomed one, the sunlight would go out of my life.

Why did I do it?

Why did I record a programme about planning committees? Why did I think this was interesting? Why did I set it to record the whole series??

Stuff about dogs
Posted Feb 22, 2014
I try to keep this to a minimum but really my life is work (which is dogs) family (which is dogs and one Teenacher) and hobbies (mostly dogs, and where not, for instance cross stitch, I nearly always stitch.... dogs).
So.
Where was I?
I'd forgotten now....

Grown up non dogs trip out and my diary for the week...
Posted Feb 16, 2014
Haven't been out for AGES with Teenacher so, we're off to see Fuerzabruta this afternoon for an early evening show. I only heard about it as it was on the news recently for falling on some people in the audience, but I'm sure they've got that all sorted out.
Tomorrow I've got an appt with my nose doctor, 9.30am - a 2 1/2 hour journey. Yum! Obviously I would not have arranged the one straight after the other, especially as I want to take my lovely lovely sedatives with me in the hope I can get my blood tests done.
Then on Tuesday I'm picking up my new motorhome! Yay! I'm wondering if I can get away with driving it straight to my mechanic (about 20 mins) with the 'insured on any car' bit of my car insurance... It has an unidentified rattle which could be nothing, or could be a big something so I want that sorted before I go away in it. At Easter, if not before.
Then, hopefully by Wednesday my new robot scrubber will arrive, Thursday the food should be here, and Friday, well I get to have a day off exciting things happening and go to work...
