Parp

Well, it's a bit windy out there. We don't get floods in BoredTown as there are no rivers. One of the lakes has got a bigger puddle than usual on the bit that always laps over the edge boarding if that counts - but it also has a, er, not sure what you call it, overflow I guess, than goes into the next door lake which is far too muddy to walk round anyway. There are lots of ENORMOUS puddles and some new fords though.

We do have lots of small streams which are so small they usually dry up in summer, and they're all doing well though, busy and active. When I go geocaching I like to choose river walks because we don't have any, but I've had to forgo that pleasure for a while. It's not just the mud, and risk of blocked access, but I don't want any of the dogs washed away!

On the negative side, we have London clay in a lot of places, so when it's windy (no rain yet today), its really, really hard to walk in the parks.

Random change of subject - I'm seeing the accountant tomorrow to set up a new company, so I will be sole owner of two (nano) companies. :D

My current procrastination project is...

Updating my CV as I need to email it somewhere by 5pm tomorrow. I have managed to procrastinate since the 8th. While finding myself things to do to avoid doing it, I found something I put off since August, which was so long I was able to just chuck it away as outdated. smiley - biggrin

Waiting...

Apparently I'm still not on the waiting list for an operation, just for a return out patient visit to the specialist. I had my CT in October, blood test still not done. They want to do a 'full blood count' which I assume is to check I'm not dying of something else, and test me for allergies to aspergillus, alternaria, cladosporium, bipolaris, curvularia and drechshlera.

Yes I googled them all fungi, either of plant or soil, or general mould. All the sorts of things you find in the woods, which is where I spend a lot of time.

I can't remember if I posted here back in August when I got my suspected diagnosis (I'd waited a year for the appointment as they closed to NHS patients for a while). They strongly suspect I've got allergic fungal rhinosinusitis, not the non-allergic rhinitus I was diagnosed with 20 years ago.

Some good, some bad

So yesterday started great, went to terrible quite quickly then slowly improved to about rubbish.

Today started okay, went to good reasonably quickly, then to great, then to laughable, then to the absolute pits. Still some time to get back to reasonable before bedtime.

The laughable bit is the quote for £25 per hour to rent... a field for the day, making it £187 for the day. I am still roflmfao. I hope the bloke who suggested I run my training workshops from that premises is extremely embarrassed. IT'S A BIT OF GRASS AND MUD! I used to pay that PER WEEK for a field and hall for a WEEK.
