Bad enough when it's a dog, but a child!?

http://www.wave3.com/story/25812472/child-dies-after-being-left-in-hot-car

And looks like he's not the only one...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/magazine/fatal-distraction-forgetting-a-child-in-thebackseat-of-a-car-is-a-horrifying-mistake-is-it-a-crime/2014/06/16/8ae0fe3a-f580-11e3-a3a5-42be35962a52_story.html

I can appreciate 'forgetting' about your child when you're at work - when I was at the Beeb I used to feel really guilty that once I got into the office my son didn't even cross my mind until I walked back out, but of course I would not have forgotten I had put him in the car before I left for work...

What's happening to my empire?

Had the unexpected happen - my first ever staff member and quite frankly my 'rock' suddenly let me down in a big way about a week ago and I had to 'accept' his resignation. Then someone else had some time off, so I had to go out dog walking for two days. Now someone else has gone off sick for at least a week. Just hope he's back and it's not something more long term because by then someone else will be having time off again...

It's a conspiracy?!

I've had to go back to dog walking, which obviously I don't mind, and having one less staff member is 28 less days that I have to pay out for someone doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. But just adjusting to the new routine again is a bit annoying as I was trying to do other things with the time, that should eventually earn more money than walking the dogs myself... Gah...

Puffed up with pride

Took Tinker to a 'proper official' Kennel Club Obedience Show yesterday.

He got a place in two of his three classes, 10th in one and 4th in the other! smiley - biggrin Out of around 30 dogs in each. Considering it was his first official show, and we've only done round 4/5 of the 'pracise' shows at the lower level that's a fantastic result! Just confusing he did best at the highest class, and the lowest class we entered (the easiest) we got 24/29. Whoops... I wonder if I was concentrating more as it was harder...

Photo won't last long as it's a free without registation uploader service so they clear them out regularly. Drat BTinternet for taking away the free webspace that came with broadband.
