We've had a quite nice day. I went into work and the wife and younglins took a trip to our local DIY emporium and came back with tile samples. Not for the house we are living in. For the one we own. That means a trip or two for me on my next alotted leave. There was a small discussion that she won on account of being in possession of the uterus.

Still, my neighbour and one of the new lads have offered to give me a hand. The new lad's father is a jobbing builder and he learned the trade before joining up.

What kind of tile? We paid a contractor to lay ceramic tile in our kitchen. Though I have happily under-taken and done many an alteration to the house, that was one that could prove too costly. I may well not have a knack with the wet-saw and would end up wasting many tiles.

It's been a cold and rainy day, and milady is finally nearly shed of a horrible cold/flu thingie. So we stayed home and in today. Having done all the grocery shopping yesterday. And got some prezzies for my name-sake grandson. The man turns 4 on February 6th. And full of the , though we aren't quite sure where it comes from.

Wall tile.

Ceramic with metal flecks.

I'm sure the young man is nothing of the kind. Just in case, I have some Lourdes water on standby.
