Hi anyone...
Where to start?
I'm male (last time I looked), and on the last push before the Gov't pays me a pittance. Born in Coventry, and spent the first 25 years of my life trying to get out. Moved to Kent for a few years to be close to the cross-channel ferry. Now living in the south-west, Single again, for the last 5 years, enjoying every minute of it and intending to stay that way (inshallah!).
I'm an airbrush artist, and for the last 20 years I've run a small business custom painting motorcycles. I do the arty-farty stuff, while my minions do the mucky bits. As I've been a biker since I was able to ride, my work fits in well.
I've had an abiding interest in Egypt for years, fired off originally by the first Tut-ankh-amun exhibition way back in the 70's. Got my Cert in Egyptology at Exeter Uni. via distance learning four years ago.
Ancient Egypt lead me to the ancient Near East,and thence to Middle Eastern history, and now on to that area generally. I read virtually anything I can get hold of that relates to the region
I've visited a few of the countries in the area, just returned from my first trip to Yemen, which all being well, won't be my last. I travel a lot in Eastern Turkey, a country I've grown to love, and where I've several good friends.
Currently I'm planning a trip to Iran around May next year.

Religion - Agnostic tending to atheist
Music - That'll have to wait 'til I've more time
