Thank you, Thutmose, for all your kindness and patience over on the MB's. It does mean a lot to all us quiet folk! Yes~~I'm really quiet-not at all an argumentative person normally!
BTW, I lived in Turkey for a while(Istanbul and Ankara) and adored it.
Drat~I've just burnt the chilli~~~again!

Ta Pol,
I'm very much a live and let live sort. Life is too short and too precious to waste on being unpleasant to others (Even when some seem to deserve it. Mentioning no names of course).
I'm jealous of you having lived in Turkey , although Istanbul wouldn't be my first choice by a long way. I hope to move over there when I finally retire. I've found a small town, Tire, that I think would suit me. It's not a tourist spot, quite nondescript and unspoiled in fact, and not too far from some good friends who run a hotel in Kusadasi (awful town). I'd prefer to live over in Urfa or Gaziantep, but they're not too easily accessible if I needed to get back to UK quickly. I
Hope the chili wasn't too inedible, I find that sometimes the burnt bits add to the flavour

Hello again, Thutmose.
The chilly was still edible, thank you.
I lived in Bebek and Besiktas(Can't remember how to spell it). I know Kusadasi well. I used to love Bodrum before the property business started to grow. It was, at that time, a tiny village with small white-washed homes. Very pretty and very peaceful. The reason for living there? My ex-husband is Turkish.
I wonder what has been happening on the MB's today! I wonder if I am in hot water yet again (for no good reason!).

Merhaba Pol, (how's your Turkish?)
What they've done to Bodrum and pretty much the whole of the Aegean coast is awful, which is why I tend to head inland and eastwards where things are so much more unspoiled. I do usually end my trips with a week or so in Kusadasi, but only 'cos I've been kind of adopted by my friends Ayhan and Asli who run a hotel there, and they spoil me terribly. I'm also an honorary grandfather to the daughter of one of the girls who work there, so feel duty bound to visit at least once a year.
Wish I was there now, at least it would be a touch warmer than here. I hear it's going to get colder again this week, frosts at night etc. The older I get, the more my bones protest in winter....
Stay warm
P.S. I think you're OK on the MB's for now

Good afternoon, dear Thutmose.
If I put my mind to it I can speak some Turkish. It's actually an easy language.
I'm not sure that I wish I was there! It might be a lot warmer though.
How lovely that you have super friends there. And that you have been made an honorary Grandpapa. That is very special.
As for the MB's, our 'friend' still mentions me from time to time even though I am not actually there.
Have a truly happy afternoon dear friend. I'm unwell so I am staying put!
Thank you for your message here today. I have only just switched the computer on.

Good afternoon Pol,
Have just picked up on your message from yesterday. I do hope it wasn't anything serious and that you are feeling better now.
Busy busy today so I'll be coming and going lots

I'm really sorry about today.
I shouldn't have risen to the bait, should I! I've ended up messing up the thread, yet I was only getting very annoyed that someone else was wrecking it.
I do get upset every time I am put-down by that fellow. But maybe I have to learn to not, in exchange, put him down. And it's also 'cos I'm a girl that I feel there's a bit of a sexist issue here.
Anyway, Thutmose, I am most sorry for making you angry. I get on with everyone, but.....It's all become so horrid.

Hi Pol,
Sorry about my little temper tantrum yesterday, I was on a bit of a short fuse. Not your fault, it's that man. He must really be a sad case if he has to come on to these boards with the attitude he has. I think he must certainly be a real 'Billy No-Mates' in the outside world, if he's that unpleasant, although I doubt he would have the courage to be that way if it wasn't anonymously.
I'm still trying to make up my mind whether to return to the boards or not,
I'll give it some thought....
Whatever, best wishes,
Thut

Hello Thutmose.
Your 'Billy-No-Mates' made me laugh!! I have been thinking the very same thing. I would avoid him like the plague if I met him somewhere.
But I am sick of his nastiness. I've never known anyone to disrupt the MB's quite like him.
Yesterday was so horrid. And as always, I was very upset about it all.
Thank you for your message.
Take care.
Warm wishes.

Dear Thutmose,
Thank you for making me smile again today.
I'm trying to avoid 'Billy'!
In case I miss you, do have a very happy Easter. I've treated myself to a plain-chocolate Easter egg today because I miss getting one (a great excuse!!). I'm about to open it and have a glass of cold milk with some of it!!
Thanks again for being so friendly.

Hi!
Billy has done it again to me! He's found me on another thread and has added a comment about me!
I'm away soon for a few days.
Take care, Thutmose.
Have fun.

Hello Thutmose,
There really is no need to apologise for anything. But it's great to personally hear from you.
I can't recall what I have put on the MB last night, but I do know that I mentioned my brother. Yes-I lost him not that long ago. He and I were the absolute best of friends. I miss him every single day........
I'm trying to be nice to Billy. Maybe he will turn on me again. I hate nastiness. I tend to go to pieces afterwards. I seem to cry every day(I DO cry every day) for several reasons. And it wears me out!
Anyway, thank you for keeping in touch. I do hope that you had a relaxing Easter.
I've been treating myself to some goodies today! I very rarely do! I would much rather just be sitting in a field with the skylarks overhead. But I needed a few things to wear to church~nothing fancy at all!
Thank you so much for the lovely red roses. I shall dry them, and then I can keep them forever. One day we shall all look back on these message board days. I shall smile, and most likely weep too...
Polly
