How about introducing one of the Atelier's usual off-topic but never-the-less fascinating quizes?

Oooh good idea! Quick, someone create an "Are you a troll" quiz! I think most of us would fall into the "Angry Forumites" category.

Great link on the troll species. I think we have seen almost all the varieties lately. Put me down as an angry forumite...

Now now, fellow researchers, you are sinking to a Conspiracy to Commit Annoyance, and I won't have it. Not on MY space.
Although I'm sure that you would never actually do something like what you suggested, now that you've had some time to cool off.

I am addicted. I cannot stop. I keep checking those other threads ever five minutes to see if there is anything new. I need help.

Oh d'E haven't you got the "My Conversations" window? then you can check every 20 seconds.
I am slightly worried I may be a UKEuroTroll, I'm proud of socialism though I doubt it's a European invention. Not that I really want to antagonist USians and others by saying so on forums inhabited in indivdualists.
Besides we'll need their weapons for our revolution

How can we take your mind off it? You could do a stint as minder in a school cafeteria. Or try herding cats. Other suggestions anyone?
Oh yes, you could try bettering SEF's definition of tact, which I quote; "Being tactful is finding something pointlessly nice to say when someone insists on asking for your opinion and the outcome of the rest doesn't matter."

d'E, I can't help it, either. I'm dealing with it by composing responding posts and then closing the window before I hit the Post Message button. It's the cyber-equivalent of tearing up the letter and throwing it out.
And that's exactly what I did with the 'tactful' post. You should have seen my response. It was a corker, I tell you!

I can't help feeling that SEFs defination of tactful says a lot about the situation.
I tend to write things like that as well, then delete, but it's dangerous, clicking on that "Post" button is almost an instinctive response for me/

I've done that to, but I use Notepad. Then I minimise the screen and go away for a while.
Almost invariably I delete it.

I'm not really here Posted Oct 4, 2003
ooh, spooky. I went in and challenged it. I think I'll have to go out for the day to prevent myself from getting caught in their trap. I can feel them closing in, they are going to batter me to virtual death with their accusations of dishonesty and stupidity. oh nooooooooooo.....

Montana Redhead (now with letters) Posted Oct 4, 2003
yes, well. I've decided that while I am going to read the thread, i am not going to give her the satisfaction of responding.
Mina, you've an endowed chair in Lying Stupidity, remember. I endowed it, and I hope you make me proud. You go, girl!

ACK! Someone yikes'd the last post on the "atled volunteers" thread, and I so wanted to read it, because it was from one of the two (well, okay, maybe boxing baboon, who, so far, has proven to be exactly that). I do so hope it was SEF going off again on a tirade.
I find it amazing that when people who come into the thread, who are completely unknown to anyone else there, and ask the same questions we have been asking, she attacks them the same way. This isn't about Lil, or me, or anyone. This is about her need to be right all the time.
And excuse me, Mina said at the very first post that no nonCA art was going to be accepted for groups. And then STS says the only way they'll be happy and consider the case closed is if spook gets the graphic he wants! Guess what? Not gonna happen, get over it and move on....hopefully right offsite!

It hasn't been yikesed. It's a premoderation notice. It's probably Tango.

Ah, sorry...looked at it again and realized that very fact. Rats, I was hoping it might be another of those bizarre little rants that I could add to my list (it's grown quite long, actually).
I realize I'm being childish and vindictive, but I am just so tired of the way she treats everyone. It is very interesting to read some of her other threads...if you approach her with defference, and stay humbled by her, she is actually quite nice. Apparently it is only when challenged, or met by someone with equal capablilites, that she feels the need to tear into you.
Sign of feeling threatened for sure.

There is already an endowed 'Chair of Mina' - and it certainly doesn't involve lying! You can read all about it here A783524 and here A1096698
d'E - if you are really finding it hard to sit on your hands, why not read the whole of the finished saga A756182

I will not troll. I will not encourage any Salonistas to troll. I will not plot and scheme on Lil's space. I will never have fun again.
I will join SAR (sarcastic researchers anonymous). I will attend meetings. I will take the pledge.
Hello, my name is Hypatia, and I'm a sarcastic researcher.
