Hallo Jaz,

I had not been online all day, had some things to do and then let the kids take over the technic

Oh, no problem...a productive day?

I had been out with my mother, so it was very nice.
Less productive concerning some phone calls I had to make - no result yet.
Very productive concerning applications for an apprenticeship for son no 2 - we did write 8 today and sent them away and hope for the best

That's good for your son & of course for you, you'll worry less if he has a fine or solid future!

Just in case he doesn't get an apprenticeship he will go on with schooling, next week we will register him at one - so at least he won't be hanging around at home from summer on. Plus that will give him more chances later.

yes it's always good to plan for the future!

one has to, and it was always clear to my boys that I wouldn't have them hanging around at home not doing anything, at least not as long as there are alternatives

Unfortunately too many parents don't really inform themselves what is possible, so a lot of young people leave school without a perspective

I just went on my sofa for a couple of minutes and fell asleep there, so I didn't say bye last night
