eep! I haven't posted here in 23 posts! Well about the uniforms. Only private schools have to have those in the US. My old elementry had them, but it was pathetic. The only uniformed thing was a collared t-shirt with the school logo which came in 8 different colors. So every one was different any way. I like the idea of uniforms. But I would hate it at my school because the perpose of an arts school is to show creativity, and i can't see half the expressing kids from my school in uniforms. They always make their own clothes and dress all weird.

The other day, when I got to school before the bell rang, I wish I had a camera with me so I could post the scene. It was so cool.

I walked through this drabby nasty outdoor hallway out to the couryard, where to my right their were about 20 kids beating on the trash cans and playing their instuments making up songs, then to my left their were two visual majors sketching anime and spraying paint all over their back packs, then infront of me were a group of theater dramatic gothies playing duck duck goose on the star (a big rock covered star shaped circle in the middle of the court yard)and then their was a group of vocal majors stnding on a lunch table singing some german song while a commie was filming them and some preppy dance majors stood on their toes with their hair up in neat buns, and tights, balet shoes, and leatards showing from underneath their normal clothes. It was great. My whole school was all spelled out their with in a few feet of eachother in the courtyard.

You have to see it for your selves.

Today I went to see Constantine with my boyfriend, his best mate and one of my good friend's boyfriends (who is also my friend... I'm "looking after" him while his girlfriend is in Europe). Anyway, Constantine was good, but we were walking down the street and you could just see how we were set apart from everyone else - every single one of us was wearing a lot of black (except for my bf's best friend, but it's all cool). It was really funny.
At our school, you can tell the groups too, even though we're all wearing the same thing. People find ways of altering their uniform in some way to represent who they are. If you're into rock music like me, you'll wear things like band badges on your jumper or wristbands, and black hair ties. If you're a "girly girl" you'll wear lots of (illegal) makeup and tie your hair back with pink ribbons and wear t-bar shoes instead of the normal lace-ups. If you're a punk sort of person, you might tie your hair back with a pink and black shoelace and wear black nail polish. If you're into R&B, you'll... you get the picture, right?
And then there are the girls who abide by the rules

But I think uniforms are cool. They save me thinking of something different to wear every day.
Tomorrow is Harmony Day and we all have to wear something orange (yay! Casual clothes!). It's not just at our school either - I think everyone's doing it. Are you doing that in America at all?

Not to my knowledge.. and anyway 1) I dont own anything orange.. hehe and 2) We have spring break right now so there wouldnt really be any point... Nevada is lame!
I like my track uniform! I have the guy's shorts so its longer and doesnt go into my butt crack! I HATE THOSE SHORTS! And I got on the varsity team so I have a cool jersy! And I like our band uniforms... but other than that... I HATE Them! We figure out whoes in what group of people by their clothes.. smokers wear baggy clothes... goths wear black, band nerds wear band tees, preps wear tight shirts... etc
Other than that... Like our PE uniforms.. I HATE THEM TOO!

I hate my school's PE uniform too! Well... just the t-shirt. The rest of it is pretty comfortable, actually. I could LIVE in my PE pants

UG! I hate it all! Our tees are hudge! and our shorts are annoying when you run because they tend to ride up on you...
I could live in uh... my everyday clothes! heh... I like our band uniforms but you have to becareful everytime you turn a corner, not to run into the wall! It adds about a foot to your sholder length.. and have someone tie your shoes for you otherwise you need a crow bar to undo the wedgie you get!

I've been using my PE trackpants for pajama pants this last week
They're so damn comfy

We have swet pants for track... THOSE are nice!... but i left them in the gym AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I have to buy Statzer a pizza now... grr... Ill get him one of those Lunchables pizzas... haha
OH FRED! if you get this in time... if you see a darkish guy that looks gangster like with a little girl and a little boy and his wife... i think shes pregnant.. i donno if its her or the other coacches wife... but if you see him thats my coach! He went to florida for spring break!

We're on spring break too! And I've never heard of Harmoney day, or what ever when you were orange, I think it must be an australian thing.

Yeah, Harmony Day is probably an Aussie thing. It was to raise money against racism. Plus, we all got to wear orange all day. And donate a gold coin (here that means either one or two dollars. All the other coins are silver... 50c, 20c, 10c and 5c).
That day was about two weeks ago now, I think...
Meh - don't worry, Ford... I hereby give you permission to wear orange every single day, free of charge!!

Heh... I wish I had orange... does black count?

We don't celibrate april fools day here in FL. It's agenst the law in our county to pull any perposful pranks that may offend someone. Our city and school interpreted that as, 'no fooling around, no fun, and no April fools day!' I hate it! We get a referal if we do anything 'foolish' on April 1st at school, and it's just dumb! *sigh* how I wish I lived back in New Jersey wear we could play with plasic puke and woopi-cusions at our own free will.

Ok i know that was dumb. but I'm still cool!

Hehehe - we do April Fools' over here... I think it's pretty much a worldwide thing.
I didn't do all that much, just told a few people I'd broken up with my boyfriend and watched their reaction for a few seconds before saying "April Fools!!"
One of my friends came to school with her arm in a sling and managed to convince quite a few people that she'd actually been hurt. It was really quite funny to test the gullibility of our friends

My favorite trick to play on people is when they play a trick on you and go 'April Fools' you just stare at them as if their the dumbest person in the world and go, "April first is tomarow you moron." You have to do it at the beginning of the day though, because by the end, they KNOW it's April fools day because every one has been pranking eachother all day.
