NaJoPoMo 30th Nov Mags - Into the Blue

So, Smurfs 2 - you're all hanging on for me to give you me verdict, aren't you?

I'm gonna give it whether you are or not, anyway

It's smiley - erm okay, if you like really linear platform play. A bit Rayman. A bit old Sonic. A bit like lots of other generic nonsense. Is this tied into a film? Don't know, don't care.

It's quite fun and can be played with up to four players. Quite repetitive as well (not that that is a bad thing). Not very challenging and can have it's bun wiped in five hours.

Worth a rent, but you would be kicking yourself into next week if you'd bought it.

This has been fun, I missed a couple or three days, but it regimented me, mostly. At least the subject interested *me* smiley - silly

If you think the random Magwitch thoughts are gone until next year, however, think again smiley - evilgrin

Thank you all for reading smiley - hug

NaJoPoMo 29th Nov Mags - Black and Bluegs -

Brief word today, still feeling like I've got the Black Death.

Finished Lego Marvel today, well the first play trough anyway. We just need to back and get all the bits and walk around the city and get all the bits. No cheevo for watching the credits, like you did with Fallout 3, but hey smiley - winkeye.

Tomorrow I'll be playing with Smurfs, thanks Boomerang. I really wanted some more zombies, but I suppose Blue things'll do smiley - evilgrin

NaJoPoMo 28th Nov Mags - The Horror, the Horror

Another day, another zombie game. This time it's Amy - a proper survival horror, allegedly.

The real horror is provided by clunky controls and mind numbing puzzles.

You play as Lana, and you're leading the Amy of the title (an eight year old austistic girl) through a place littered with monsters and Government agents, trying to keep both her and yourself safe. Amy doesn't talk and sometimes doesn't even do what's she's told. You can push boxes in a certain direction and they go in the opposite one. Unlike Silent Hill and Project Zero, the monsters are not really scary, but things do fall off walls as you're walking past and give you a little shudder the first time. It's not really that bad a game as the reviewers would have you believe, but it's certainly not the game I was expecting.

Oh well, only cost me £1.68 in the sale, I'd have been most miffed if I'd paid full price for it, mind.

NajoPoMo 27th Nov Mags - Dead Again

Dead Block is a zombie-bash-'em-up.

Well, you don't just bash up the zombies, but you have to bash everything else up too and search it for valuable bits that can build barricades.

And kill zombies. And find bits of a guitars. And then play the guitars, Rock Band/Guitar Hero stlyee. It's actually really rather fun as a multiplayer game and at £1.68 (or 9, depending on which was which - we bought another XBLA title at the same time) well worth a punt. It's quite repetitive, but what e;lse do you expect?

It's one of the many Downloadable games (both games that are available on disc and XBLA only games) that have been hugely discounted in the run-up to Thanksgiving.

Random Footy score of the day:

Manchester City 4 - 2 Victoria Pilzen.

(22 goals scored at the Ethiad in November by the Home Team, not bad smiley - winkeye but why are we only fourth?)

NaJoPoMo Day 26 Mags - Family Fun?

Poorly day today.

That means Family Game Night.

Cluedo, Mousetrap and Game of Life - on the Xbox.

Although we have all three as proper board games, and love playing them as such it's the actual moving more than a few fingers and having to keep proper records, that irks when your poorly. That and the fact that you can play 'remixed' versions and the bloody Mousetrap doesn't fall down if a feather drops near it. It was not a good day for me.

I hadn't got a clue where the murder took place, I was trapped first, and I lost my job as a Doctor and became a mechanic, with four boys. I couldn't even move out of me first house.

Final results

Magwitch23 (winner) - not me today
AMKJB (second) - not me either
Arduous Spider (me!) - Third

Oh well, maybe tomorrow...
