Bicycle

smiley - musicalnotebicycle. I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike. smiley - musicalnote
I went on a really long bike ride yesterday. I was planning a little two hour trip to test myself, since although I ride every day it's just the four km journey to work and back. Only I had a second goal as well, seeing if I could cut through the forest on my planned trip to grandma, instead of going the long way round.

After an hour I wasn't far enough to really know, after an hour and a half I was so far that I was almost certain and no point in turning back then, was it? After two hours I knew, and I'd also just finished a really steep decent. The choice then was, go back up the hill and through the forest, or go round. Better roads, probably less differences in height, and close to half as long again in distance... I chose the long way round. Eventually I was completely worn out, had no drink left, bitterly regretted, each time I went past a petrol station, my choice not to bring a little money, or even some chocolate.
In the end I made my way home from a 70 km, 5 hour trip. I'm going on a few shorter trips before making that trip again though, and I'm bringing more water and some food the next time. smiley - biggrin

Fast

Amazing. I returned my first sub-ed'ed Entry on Friday, and today it's on the front page. And yesterday I had my Scientific Method entry there, which has been with the editors for months. What _are_ they doing up there in the towers? smiley - biggrin
