bicycle. I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike.
I went on a really long bike ride yesterday. I was planning a little two hour trip to test myself, since although I ride every day it's just the four km journey to work and back. Only I had a second goal as well, seeing if I could cut through the forest on my planned trip to grandma, instead of going the long way round.
After an hour I wasn't far enough to really know, after an hour and a half I was so far that I was almost certain and no point in turning back then, was it? After two hours I knew, and I'd also just finished a really steep decent. The choice then was, go back up the hill and through the forest, or go round. Better roads, probably less differences in height, and close to half as long again in distance... I chose the long way round. Eventually I was completely worn out, had no drink left, bitterly regretted, each time I went past a petrol station, my choice not to bring a little money, or even some chocolate.
In the end I made my way home from a 70 km, 5 hour trip. I'm going on a few shorter trips before making that trip again though, and I'm bringing more water and some food the next time.

How come you don't know how to ride a bicycle?

very restrictive childhood and have not learned since...never seem to have had the time...I have a lot of things that I was not allowed to do in childhood to learn.
I am going to learn how to ride one though.

Feel free to come around for a lesson.
I swooshed by your homepage and saw you like grilled cheese sandwiches. That's what I had for dinner today. Grilled cheese and salami, which is what I always make. Very set in my ways I am. My sandwich grill's got a lovely sea-shell pattern which just invites developing eating rituals as well.

The kind I get in the shop... I don't think brand or description in Norwegian will help you much, but it's got garlic in it.
