Monday

This has been a funny old daysmiley - weird it started out normal enough. Did a bit of housewirk and a bit in the garden and prepared my stuff for the writers circle.
Lunch time The Son's Wife came in. She told us that The Son had bought two furniture lorries and a removal company to go with the estate agencysmiley - yikes and that they already had a load of jobs booked. Then she told us she had applied for a different job at school taking her hours up to full time. She talked quite happily about how busy she and The Son were going to be. Not once did she mention who would be looking after the four children while their parents are working. We have an awful feeling that it assumed that we will as we only live around the corner. Much as we love the children we cannot be relied on to look after them regularly. The Boss isn't well enough. And to be honest I do not want to have them regularly. I have my own stuff I want to do as well as looking after The Boss when it is necessary.
After she left we had a little chat and decided that we would make it quite plain that we are not available for regular child minding. That is probably very selfish but we want to live our lives our way not theirs.
Then I went off to writers circle, today it was in one of the members houses . She gave me directions over the 'phone. Could I find it. Could I buggery. Down farm lanes, over tractor tracks, through farm yards for god's sake. She told me to turn left by the green wheely bin. I came across about five of the dam things. Eventualy I decided to call her on my mobile for directions only to discover it was out of powersmiley - doh I managed to get lost on the moors and found myself running out of track to drive along. So I did a very difficult about 20 point turn and came homesmiley - cross
The Boss is still improving and we are hoping to go out to play tomorrowsmiley - biggrin

Dancing

If I could hold you one more time
and feel your dancing arms in mine.
If we could once more take the floor,
and move in music as before.
If we could just roll back the years
and lose our aches and pains and tears.
If we could swoop and turn and glide.
dipping and swaying on music's tide.
If I could clasp your body tight
and dance with you all through the night.
If just once more a waltz time beat
could take the music to our feet
If a foxtrot's elegance
could once more our hearts entrance
If samba's throbbing gaity
could make our limbs dance young and free.
If the tango full of of love
could make our spirits soar above
the ravages of times decay;
then we could dance the years away.

Saturday

A bright and cold sunshiney day. The Boss is better again smiley - biggrin and doing stuff around the house, which eases my work a bitsmiley - puff.
I still had to vacuum though, but this morning it was in the garden sucking up the leaves.
After lunch we went to town and bought The Son a shirt like one of mine he had admired. When he was a little boy he always wanted to dress like me, it looks as though it is coming round again, I guess I am just a trendy guysmiley - blush.
We also bought a load of sweeties for Christmassmiley - drool.
The Olympians lady friend phoned The Boss this morning. They were on for an hour, and The boss phoned The Spanish Cousin this evening, what do they find to talk about for an hour?smiley - weird
I have started printing off the photos for The Son's birthday party.
Most of the pictures also have The Lost Boy on them so he will in a way be with us on the day.smiley - smiley

Friday

Another Baker day so we had three children for the day. The Boss felt well enough to cook lunch for us which was good. I took the E.G.S. to Pendeen with me to do the Lost Boy's flowers. After I took him into the church car park and put him behind the wheel of the car.. I taught him the rudiments of steering and turning on the ignition and getting into first gear. I sat next to him with one hand on the hand brake and he drove slowly around the car park. No other cars there of course. I remember doing the same with my boys when they were nine years old. They both had lessons in fields and car parks until old enough to take to the road legally and both passed the test first time. So I am just carrying on a family tradition.
After lunch The Boss had a rest while the children and I cleared up and I took the children to Pz. We went to the play area for a couple of hours and it gave The Boss a chance to have a littlesmiley - zzz.
We came home about 3 .00 and The Son arrived just after to take them home. I noticed he is putting on a lot of weight. When I remarked on it he got a bitsmiley - cross but as I said he needs to be careful as the family has a record of heart conditions.
The Boss is a little better again todaysmiley - smiley the anti biotics must be working. The weather has turned nasty, cold driving rainsmiley - yuk
