This has been a funny old daysmiley - weird it started out normal enough. Did a bit of housewirk and a bit in the garden and prepared my stuff for the writers circle.
Lunch time The Son's Wife came in. She told us that The Son had bought two furniture lorries and a removal company to go with the estate agencysmiley - yikes and that they already had a load of jobs booked. Then she told us she had applied for a different job at school taking her hours up to full time. She talked quite happily about how busy she and The Son were going to be. Not once did she mention who would be looking after the four children while their parents are working. We have an awful feeling that it assumed that we will as we only live around the corner. Much as we love the children we cannot be relied on to look after them regularly. The Boss isn't well enough. And to be honest I do not want to have them regularly. I have my own stuff I want to do as well as looking after The Boss when it is necessary.
After she left we had a little chat and decided that we would make it quite plain that we are not available for regular child minding. That is probably very selfish but we want to live our lives our way not theirs.
Then I went off to writers circle, today it was in one of the members houses . She gave me directions over the 'phone. Could I find it. Could I buggery. Down farm lanes, over tractor tracks, through farm yards for god's sake. She told me to turn left by the green wheely bin. I came across about five of the dam things. Eventualy I decided to call her on my mobile for directions only to discover it was out of powersmiley - doh I managed to get lost on the moors and found myself running out of track to drive along. So I did a very difficult about 20 point turn and came homesmiley - cross
The Boss is still improving and we are hoping to go out to play tomorrowsmiley - biggrin
