Who? What? I'vbe no idea what your talking about Nothing unusual for me there then. You'll be putting THOSE flags on your car next

Joyika Posted Jun 6, 2010
Those flags make you use more petrol/ diesel/ fuel - as you have more drag!!
I think you are talking about Blackpools rise to their premiership!! Hope they can stay there- unlike Burnley

Those flags have the unfortunate effect of reducing the IQ level to that of pond life How better way to say to the rest of the world "I'm a Chav!" How NOT to behave!

I shall certainly not be flying *those* flags. My car is sacrosanct. Anyway, it's a french car!
And, yes, that's what I was talking about. It was for the best anyway, Cardiff cant go far in europe because of being affiliated to the welsh FA. They should be in the welsh league, really.

There's a Welsh league? well I suppose there must be- I live + learn!!
I won't be flying the flags outside my car either-- oh well!!!"

Depends where 'here' is? From my persoanl perspective it appears to be the remit of 'Chavs' That from someone as jingoistic as me

I have been thinking of visiting hootoo-friends in The Netherlands next week, but Denmark will be playing them on monday, so maybe it's not such a good idea
Being a borderline kraut I could of course wear my German T-shirt instead, but that's probably not a good idea either...

No- I don't think it will be sadly
I'm just going to watch the game, and the Grand Prix too- this weekend, with gardening/ cycling in between!!!

Fortunately, I can avoid the whole thing, because I'm working this weekend. I do wonder what impact it will have on our visitor numbers, though

Somehow the football obsession gene passed me by, fortunately. I shall be out disturbing the peace of the countryside with my . Out in the countryside on countryside pursuits is spiritual recreation for me Countryside-alliance

I expect the profile might change, not the numbers...
It's usually a safe enough bet to wear a Brazil shirt (when are they not cool?) or this year a Spain one, they are odds-on favourites to win after all
Personally though, my favourite kirt is Mexico away

If its not the World Cup- people will watch Big Brother!!!- the massess will be entertained this summer- hopefully keep them out of trouble
Thankfully Emergency departments/Unscheduled care providers are historically less busy during this time- so i may get to chill out a bit!
time for bed

Big Brother It gets worse! If there was ever an example of 'How NOT to behave!' If it ws my house, I'd have set the dogs on them the minute they got through the door, end programme

Good plan.
I managed to avoid seeing even a single game when it was in Germany. I thought I might be forced to when my group was doing some entertainment for the rabble at one of the big public screens right before the match, but fortunately, the medics on call made us break it off early. (It was 35 degrees in the shade, and we were out in the sun and in full armour. They were afraid we'd be baked.) So we were away just before the game started.

i'm going to break the pattern + say I'll watch a few of the games!! I have a colleague from Cameroon- they love it (I think their players have proper jobs too, like some are electricians, plumbers- possibly doctors + dentists)
anyways- back to work (actually seing patients today- which makes a change from examining umpteen medical students!!!)

Oh I'll be watching most of it I dont doubt. My boyfriend makes these things quite fun to watch, he's better than a commentator on TV or radio. For instance it was him who told me (during an england match) that 'psycho' (Stuart Pearce. England under 21's coach I believe) is a punk fan... In fact he saw him at a gig. But didn't go and talk to him.
But these little bits and pieces make it more fascinating, and I'm becoming quite the armchair sportsperson
