My very dear Batty,
I do not know what happened to the posting I did to you after I wrote to Paul. Must have forgotten to press the correct switch!!
I know that I said how good it was to hear from you again. also saying h9ow pleased I was that you enjoyed your job. And finally saying how pleased I was that PC and you were with one another!1.
Naturally I am so pleased that last year is behind you now. I hope you have got over the health problems of last year.
With much affection
Christiane

I shall try and find your home address again dear Shea and send you a copy. It is a very super weekly journal which I read.

Thank you darling AR1!
In many ways what happened last year was good. Now I have no choice but to go a minimum of every 6 months for a cancer scan. Plus it's apparently de regeur for me to have to give them blood whenever I step foot in the doctor's office.
I think the whole thing kind of shook PC to his core. He had never had to face any sort of terrible illness or death of a loved one before and for me to get hit with that really blindsided him. He still tends to treat me as if I were made of eggshells.

I don't know if that's such a terrible, bad thing, Batty.

Thanks for the offer! I look forward to seeing it!
Was I up late? I consider myself lucky if I'm asleep by 4am!

Shea, some of us are owls, and some are larks. I've always been of the owl persuasion, as you seem to be.

Actually, I've always been a lark! It's just circumstances that have turned me into an owl. I lose it at the end of the day, and am perkier at the beginning of it.

Before finding my way to this alternate world (Hi Shea) I, like most people, tended to take myself very seriously indeed. To the extent that I was convinced that Britain still ruled the waves (albeit funded by the USA).....and now............
Well, truth be told, I'm more concerned with who is holding the the chain to the plughole at the bottom of the ocean
So in the meantime a big HELLO to all my new friends (is madness catching?)

Just think....
If no one was holding the chain to the plughole.....it would just lay there safe and sound, of more concern is if he (who does in fact hold it) gets hiccups and inadvertently pulls it out
'The Plug, The Plug tis out from the hole'
A cry of horror from young Dover Sole
'Don't worry or fret my wee young fish
I'll give to you a lone free wish'
'I wish I wish' the young lad glugged
'To have this big wide hole re-plugged'
'Ok' the voice said, 'leave all to me'
'Oops! sorry lad, there goes the sea'
There IS a moral here, isn't there?

Mr. Christopher, enjoying the Magicians Guild game where he is called Polonius Franc, Elder Healer and local merchant Posted May 4, 2005
I went to see the hhgttg movie last night with my friend Glenn. He loved the similarities between the way Zaphod is portrayed as an slightly exagerated GWB.
