How did I manage the steam loss? I still have a happy buzz. Hey there goes a llama. I'll be right back.

You mentioned GuideML and I felt a distinct drop in atmospheric pressure ... those llamas are everywhere! Watch out for the spitting! Got caught in the crossfire of a llama spit once, very nasty!

YEAH!!! Yip, yip, yippie! I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. I had all over the place and didn't need to. (I'm not confessing to anything here - I mean I wasn't finding bodies all over the place) I was typing in extras. Well off for my hour and a quarter drive home. YUK. (There has to be a smiley that hates rush hour - maybe you can help with that one?) I'll have to try more of this wacky typing tomorrow.

It's not a good idea to have s all over the place ... the smell is awful, and people start calling the cops ... best to just have the one ...
I think sums up rush hour ... which builds into ... and ends with

I've had an hour or more commute since college, so I think I need a coma smiley to represent my rush hour. In fact thats my next lesson here at h2g2 is to learn some of the smiley's. Any favorites?

Well my most-used smiley is which is typed ; - )
It's useful to swing back and forth between and which is < angel > and < devil >
and are < smooch > and < hug >
is < cross >
All of these are typed without the spaces, BTW

Hey is that a trademark after the YAY in your message. Oh darn I used it now I owe you a royalty payment.
By the way isn't just nice . For me it's a way of life, a religion, my one true love! (okay maybe I got a bit carried away there) *he says while wiping Hersheys Kiss droolings off his keyboard*

Shea the Sarcastic Posted Jun 21, 2001
It's not my ™ ... Dragonfly, the Musemother, charges $5 if you use YAY!!! without permission. I'm trying to get around the surcharge by adding ™ after my YAY!!!s
Be careful with the Hersheys Kiss droolings! It can really gum up your keyboard!

Hi Bob (long time no see)
Hello Shea (long time repaying you all your kindnesses)
So here's my next project guys. Making my home space a Mecca of cool. Any suggestions? What do you like to see at other peoples sites? What are big no-nos? Should I bother cause no one ever really goes there? And should I trademark a bunch of stuff so I can get $5 every time someone uses one of my fabulous ideas? (I think I'll start by trademarking the letter E)

Hey! Anything goes on the homepages! Just be careful with your external links. They're always hiding my homepage because of my links.
If you want to jazz it up with pictures, here's the graphic library:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/C809
And don't think that nobody will show up there! When things get a little slow in the forums, I just randomly click on names and check out people's homepages. Or if someone says something that strikes my fancy, I'll click on their page to check them out!

Thanks for the info. I think I'll take a few days to work out something for my page. (though I've been at my current studio 3 years and we're just getting our site up and running in July). I'll take a look at the available graphics at the link you provided. Thanks again.(can I create my own? after all, why waste 4 years of college and 20 years experience)(Man I've been in this business too long)here's were the proposed coma smiley would go

Hi Elwood, I've already had a gander at your page!
Shea, if I ask nicely on bended knee, would you consent to be my Guardian ?

Ah, Parrferris your reputation precedes you.
The devil smiley was expected. I'm beginning to feel more a part of h2g2 now that you've paid a visit. Thanks

Thanks Elwood,
please don't shout about my reputation, I'm trying to live it down
Nice to meet you, and glad you're feeling at home!

PF, I would be honored to be your Guardian
This is a new area, though. We're going to have to figure out exactly what you expect from your Guardian ... or do you figure it's just an extension of our current relationship?

Exactly!
You will be responsible for abusing, teasing, chastising, scowling, growling and prodding with your pitchfork. In return I will devotedly cower and grovel.
I just thought we should put it on an official footing.
