I'm popping in as one of the assistant community editors or <./>ACEs</.> here. We greet newbies such as yourself and help you get settled. I'll be leaving you useful tips and links for doing so. I just thought I should let you know you've been noticed'n'all...and by another Canadian, at that!

Sounds good! I can see myself spending lots of time here, good break for the brain from school. I was just looking at your page (figured I might as well start somewhere) and it is good to see there are other music nuts out there like me. Just thought I'd add this quote to your list, if you haven't seen it already. I have a long list of them, I have been collecting since I started my first degree, about 11 years ago. Needless to say, it's turning into a rather long document.
'Music is a moral law- it gives wings to the mind, A soul to the universe, Flight to the imagination, A charm to sadness, A life to everything.' - Plato

As I said we ACEs help you get settled, which of course is much easier when you know where things are. So my colleague Feisor has compiled a comprehensive list of Hints and Links at A719840. When you have time review that and examine the various features in the process.
You're invited to join The Canadian Researchers' Club at A1037323. You're also quite welcome to drop by F19585?thread=252800&latest-1 - that's our little 'lounge'(if we need to give it a name). Oh and feel free to put Halifax-and your nickname-on the Researchers'(global)Map at A5076614.
But on to the useful features, such as; the assortment of <./>smileys</.>, our newspaper <./>thepost</.>, the various questions in <./>askh2g2</.> and of course all the other things Feisor mentions. Oh that reminds me, one thing Feusor doesn't refer to directly is the Personal Space Workshop at A1123354. He does provide links to both the GuideML clinic and Spicinbg Up Your User Page, but I just thought you might find the Workdhop a useful supplement to Spicing Up...just my .
Any questions though, feel free to leave me a message ok. I'll try to help or I'll find someone else to help out. Bye for now...and enjoy!*waves*

Question - I am trying to delete a journal entry, and when I click on the remove journal entry, it tells me that I cannot delete entries off of someone else's space. Huh?

Missed you! Hmm, being a relative novice, in terms of the workings of the site(& just why that sort of thing would happen)...I'm stumped!
You might try asking in the h2g2 FAQ, on the 'Read' page-click that link. I'll try to remember to ask around for you though.
Anyway, how're you doing? I was reading that you did your first year of university at the U of A. I'm about half(2/3rds of?))a mile east of the campus.

Ah, computers. I'm sure it will get figured out eventually.
Yes, I did my first degree at the UofA, physiotherapy. I was there from 1995-1999. It was a great place. I lived in the Garneau area. I still have some friends there and try to visit whenever I'm home (as in my parent's home, which is near to Red Deer, as for my home, I've moved around too much to be really certain where that is, I guess Halifax for now), so I'm usually there once or twice a year. The place has certainly expanded. It is like a new adventure every time I go now.

Hi! Ok, '95 to '99 ...so I may(just may)have passed you on campus at some point. I was there using what was then the Rick Hansen Center - now the Steadward Center.

Nice place. I was there a few times, though not much. I mostly lived in Corbett Hall on the far end of campus. I used to go to the butterdome lots though, I was on the masters swim team for a few years. Haven't done that in ages.
Strange, I just looked, and the post I was trying to get rid of is now gone. I'm confused, but not going to complain. Like I said, I'm new to all this, and computers often baffle me.
Have you always lived in Edmonton?

Pretty much except for about a year up in Fox Creek north of Whitecourt. My ()Dad was a partner in a restaurant venture.
Yes actually I was in the Butterdome quite a bit too!

I have friends in Whitecourt, so I know where Fox Creek is, though I haven't been there. I on the other hand moved around a ton, thus the uncertainty as to where home is. :P Looking at Edmonton for a residency spot when I finish here, there is supposed to be a really good program there. What do you do in Ed? (if you wish to tell, no problem if you don't)

Gorgeous photos! I recognize so many places. I used to love autumn in Edmonton, the weather, being with friends, getting out in the river valley. I would love to be back.
