Well nothing much at Kalamaki, the resort. The island has no history or culture, so no sightseeing. It's fine if you just want a beach holiday. A family would be happy there. There are safe beaches the water is very shallow for quite a way out and no strong waves, great for kids. The main resort in just one road, which is radar controlled so no speeding cars. I go abroad to learn about a country it's history, heritage and culture, but there was none of that there. Still. It was two weeks away from this dump This lovely job which I admire so much.

Well holidays for me have always been about sleeping in and doing nothing....but if you want to learn about a country's history and culture...there's no better place to go than...Australia

Well I must say that's very kind of you to invite me. I'll look forward to the plane ticket in the post then shall I? What? Oh, you weren't. Oh well sigh.
Seriously though folks.
Most people I speak to, who have been to Austrailia, have returned saying that they've had a really good time and it is really worth visiting. One of our lads here worked in an Austrailian radio station for a while and said the experience was worth while.

Oh yeah, I'll send you a ticket...better yet I'll have my private jet go up and fetch you, how's that ??

Australia is the best...having said that of course, I have no basis for comparison

But unfortunately we won't be able to make it this weekend...jetting off to Tasmania to meet the boy's brother...I plan on getting as as humanly poosible

Oh well, sigh. Just as well we're going away for the weekend ourselves. A wedding in a place called Hastings,a coastal resort in England, where King Harold fought the Normans. Which was one in the eye for Harold legend says he was killed by an arrow in the eye at the Battle in 1066. I think his last words were, carefull, you'll have some-one's eye out with that

Nothing as invovled, just friends of Coll's. Booked into a Holiday Inn nearby, they're quite pricey, but we're hoping for nice weather as a wekend on the coast is also on the cards.

You don't have to work hard at impressing me, I'm always impressed, impressed very easily. There's nothing about me that's impressing, so I'm impressed by others.

Ahhh, it's nice to get away every once in a while, innit ??
