Life amongst the indigenous gerbils of Ecuador
Raised by a colony of wild gerbils in the rainforests of Ecuador. At the age of 5 I was kidnapped and taken to Lancashire where I attended Sacred Heart Primary School and attained several certificates for "Effort."My inner gerbil prevented me from fitting in and so I spent lots of time at the library learning about Economics. At eighteen I moved to Yorkshire to study this subject at Leeds University.
My expertise in Economics came in especially useful after graduation as I spent over two years on the dole. I eventually acquired a position carrying out warehouse administration and rose to the giddy heights of team leader. After several years of this nonsense I finally put a stop to it, packed my trunk and made an attempt at Michael Palin's round the world in 80 days record. I now live in Manchester where I work for the British Council. I was lucky enough to spend the whole of November on a job attachment in Argentina. I didn't see any gerbils there.
I like to read a wide variety of both fiction and non-fiction. Favourite authors include P.G.Wodehouse, Haruki Murakami, Will Self, Stephen Fry, Bulgakov, Camus, Quentin Crisp, Gore Vidal and of course Douglas Adams.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
