Nutty Professor 2

Better than I thought it would be - mind you, I'd had a couple of pints before hand. Doesn't aim quite as low as the very similar Martin Lawrence flick Big Momma's House, but there's only centimetres between them in places. Very much an Eddie Murphy vehicle, quite possibly a bus due to all the roles he performs (like to see Mike Myers top this one ), it's mostly good, if occasionally gross, fun. This of course depends entirely on your tolerance for Eddie Murphy.

Good ole fashioned space adventure, if a little uninvolving at times. While occasionally pretty to look at, the animation is not nearly as smooth or impressive as in The Iron Giant.
I tell ya what though, this would make one helluva tv cartoon series.

The jokes in this East-meets-Western (especially the Western in-jokes) are sometimes a little pedestrian, they all work well together to hit the right buttons. And fine comic work by Owen Wilson adds the same extra dimension as Chris Rock did in Rush Hour.

In terms of crude humour, it doesn't just scrape the bottom of the barrel, it manages to dig five or six feet beneath it.
Great stuff!
