Hello,

Not been up to much myself but going to be going away for the bank holiday (seeing a friend up near manchester).

Oh hello,
Bank holiday - i wish. up here in the north we don't get bank holiday so on Monday its back to work!
oh, you'll not suffer this, but because its an english bank holiday and the bbc never seem to remember that scotland isn't off; they always stick on a great james bond film in the middle of the afternoon when we can't watch it!!!- sorry you asked and it really irks me
i've got no plans for the weekend, but i'm pretty excited about seeing U2 on monday night, strange how all that came about.
have you ever heard of a band called scuba z? i heard them on't'radio last night.... fantastic stuff, i'm going to rush and buy the album today, i think.

I thought the summer one was both Scotland and the rest of the country, oh well never mind. You do get one on another day so you've not lost out at all.
Where are U2 playing? A friend saw them in manchester and said they were fantastic.
Scuba Z, nope, can't say I have. What sort of stuff do they do?

We get one in september .... but will the tv companies change their entire schedule? ....nooooooo (okay it's a pretty petty annoyance, that's why its just irksome, rather than something we should declare independence over!)
U2 are playing the exhibition centre (or big red shed, as its known here - the acoustics are terrible) friends saw them in brum and said they were phemonenal. they announced the gig yesterday morning, tickets went on sale at noon, they play monday/tuesday... all very quick.
scuba z - i'm not entirely sure, as i said i heard a tract last night and thought it was brilliant, i'll know more when i've listened to the cd, but beta bandish???
you gonnae do the family thing when you're home?

I saw Aerosmith at the SECC a few years back.
Scuba Z sound interesting, might have to look them up.
It's a case of seeing a friend, rather than family (did family a few weeks back!)

i think i've just bought septembers' record of the month. the scuba z cd is really good. a bit sort of midfield general, its quite funky and rocky and reminds me of primal scream (which is no bad thing) i'm really bad when people as 'so what sort of thing do they play' or 'what do they sound like' normally i'm talking about bands they've never heard of.

you saw aerosmith at the SECC? was steve via supporting them? small world (wouldn't want to paint it) and big shed - i was there too right up the back - didn't see ya!

It was Shed Seven supporting (bad choice I thought). During the 9 Lives tour. I was with my mate down at the front
I think I'll look up the Scuba Z stuff then if you think it's good, it probably is

As I'm in an air con'd office, it's nice and cool but with views out over the sunny barbican centre (hmmm maybe not so nice after all )
