Well! it looks like "some" in the hootoo back office are jockeying for "team leader/s" again {I know more than you do etc} I wish they'd shut up and STOP driving the good ones away and play AS a team for the good of hootoo and not self glory

They could try and put a bit of life back into the site and get note people to stay, its much quieter than it used to be lots of people drifted away any one know why?

People will drift away if there's nothing 'sticky' for them to adhere to.

I'm not saying people here aren't trying to do things, but whatever it is, it's not sticky enough.

Go back to basics when everyone felt a part of H2G2

Are people leaving hoo too the message traffic is 20% of what it was 5 years ago.

Or has the site coalesced into intrest groups that have very little interaction with each other, it would be interesting to see the traffic statistics for the site over the past few years. They should exist to sell the advertising space.

Just how interest could be increased could be to start or relaunch some of the special or general interest groups

If those who run this site paid (advertising revenue must go somewhere) if so some time could be devoted to the problems, these should be sorted by the staff as a degree of responsibility comes with a wage perhaps the

Lils upset and her decision to use the site as a message board, is a perhaps a sign that the family nature of the site has eroded to such a degree that individuals don't matter as much as they did. Equally it could just be a misunderstanding either way it should be sorted out.

The site is not just about the entries (we don't even know how many or even if they attract readers) that would give the authors some encouragement to provide more. Perhaps someone could organise a relaunch of the community side to rekindle the atmosphere on this site, there are many members who would help get the community spirit going again, hopefully (thats a good question how many active members have we got?).

So to end thanks Lil for prompting the questions I have been pondering for some time and perhaps some of the answers will make you feel better. I hope you get an apology a private one is best we don't need to know any details, just that it would be nice to know she received one.
