Well we had a good day here today, we were in the process of changing the Motherboard on my desk top computer, as its been off line for a year now, after it just lost the net connection? We had tried everything to get it going, then a mate of mine offered me a motherboard to try.
So we had removed a lot of components to get into the Motherboard, but had to replace them when we found one connection to the DVD Re-writer was different?
After sticking everything back in, I said lest try it one more time....
and HEY! its back on line again

I lost my "V" 
about a year ago (couldn't buy a new PC that didn't have it) and it has been great in many ways but it really annoys me that I can't install Championship Manager 2 
I'm sure there's a technical reason but I don't see the 'progress' in not being able to run a game that's 13 years old 
And the Scrabble CD I got in my newspaper doesn't work- it installed ok but I can't actually play a game!
What's the point computers?
