Mobile phones aren't that bad - and you can always RTFM! Even though I agree that they put in too much annoying stuff.

But don't be as the Queen Mum... she got a new phone as birthday due to numerous complaints about the one she had. I managed to find a rather simple one and spent some two months instructing her... Then she went over the pond and called me two days later and really told me off and returned the phone. "Doesn't work!" was the context but she said it...... more flowerish... So I sent her the old phone which suddenly was the greatest wonder ever created...

When the new phone returned to the Lair it was in perfect shape and worked, even in the "other side of the pond" mode... "press button" you see...

guess we'll make a new attempt next time she visit

*giggles*


I have had a little practise with texts this morning.. some have been cut short, as I hit the wrong button

Others have spelling errors (yes, I know! I was previewing!).. but I forgot there are extra buttons to locate those and I was getting frazzled!!

I think I've got it sussed now

Animal, it's not the threat of suffering serious injury as a result of using mobile phones that I am concerned about. It's the threat of losing face to face contact which has become more prevalent these days. I don't want to spoil lil's birthday by any means, but gee whiz, human contact seems to be undesirable nowadays.
