Looks like the drinks are on me lil, and you know your music. So we oldies can reminisce at our leisure. By the way, Jeff Beck was the guitarist. Do you remember his big solo hit, Hi Ho Silver Lining?
And if you do, I will have to find out where to buy flared jeans for my visit.

Now you have me thinking lil, about the first record I ever bought. You know, those round black vinyl things with grooves (this was inserted for modern day people who have i-pods and blackberries. The government is watching you lot)
Then I remembered, but instantly forgot. I think it was a record by The Animals...
My memory will return as soon as I pay my tax bill, like next century.
Stephen
P.S The government allowed me to use my name, but they are not getting any tax off me

The Animals??
Could it have been 'Please don't let me be misunderstood'??
'House of the Rising Sun' is their most famous hit..

>>You know, those round black vinyl things with grooves<<
That's interesting, Steve. My records only had two grooves... one on each side

'The Night has Thousand Eyes' Bobby Vee was the first record in our house - sister's choice.
how about 'Juliet' for some nostalgia.

I am going to be forced to endure French TV if no hootoo tomorrow night. Or go on MSN; i bet that throws a wobbly too; maybe we should book time slots on it in advance.
First single i bought was Mungo Jerry "In the Summertime" & first album was Simon & Garfunkel "Bridge over troubled water"
Anyone remember the Lemon Pipers "Green tambourine"?; great song, very spooky!
I've bought a huge tub of tiramisu ice cream today if anyone fancies popping round to help me eat it. What's actually in "real" tiramisu?

As in a tonic, rather than "loose flooze out looking for a good time" presumably?
*mind you, the good time might well act as a tonic...

Tiramisu? Ladyfingers, mascarpone cream, amaretto, espresso, a dusting of cocoa over the top... You've made me hungry!

zendevil Posted Apr 13, 2007
That sounds like the one, though i didn't spot any okra. However, i did have a mushroom curry first, so that may have masked the taste. Amaretto, ah ha, i knew there was something boozy in it...
It's definitely moreish. I was only tseting it honest, but at this rate it will be gone before my visitor arrives tomorrow night!

Don't confuse me like that. Over here, they're just Löffelbiskuit
Here's a pretty good recipe for tiramisu, by the way. http://www.cookingforengineers.com/article.php?id=60&printer
