Tip: A good and authentic (it was taught to me by a Tuscan maitre d') shortcut/cheat is to use beaten Italian dairy vanilla ice cream instead of the zabaglione...
You must, however serve immedaitely and throw away left over - melted icecream should not be allowed to hang around too long.
Not that it will

Aren't there raw eggs in it? That alone should be a reason to serve and eat immediately and to throw away any possible leftovers. It's a reason that I wouldn't eat it to start with.

the raw eggs are a much-debated topic, it seems. If you make the zabaglione, they're cooked anyway...

I just eat food with normal names, its easier! Both to request and pronounce and digest.
And Terri, I bought Green Tambourine when it was released, and also Incense and Peppermints, by Strawberry Alarm Clock...... now that is a good name for a band!!!!

I know, B'Elana, but I dont live in those countries. So I just eat stuff like lamb and beef and lots of fruit and vegetables. to the vegetarians out there, but I quite enjoy a lamb chop or two...

Much apologies,Malabarista. I wasn't meaning any offence or implying anything untoward by my comments. Just that some foodstuffs become popular for a while, the fancier the name, the more the popularity.
I suppose I stick with traditional meals. Must be due to my age...

So Stephen, i do hope you are bringing a tucker bag full of this sort of stuff, or maybe your own when you plan on visiting me here?
A vegetarian living in France sounds like your worst nutritional nightmare!!!
(There is a Mc Donalds if you get desperate)
