The Hyborian Age
A Fantasy RPG based on the work of Robert E Howard
"Know, O Prince, that between the years when the oceans drank Atlantis, and the gleaming cities, and the years of the rise of the Sons of Ayras, there was an age undreamed of, when shining Kingdoms lay spread across the world like blue antles beneath the stars - Nemedia, Ophir, Brythunia, Hyperborea, Zamora and its dark-haired women and towers of spider-haunted mystery, Zingara with its chivalry, Koth that bordered on the pastoral lands of Shem, Stygia with its shadow-guarded tombs, Hyrkania whose riders wore steel and silk and gold. But the proudest kingdom of the world was Aquilonia, reigning supreme in the dreaming west. Hither came Conan the Cimmerian, Black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand, a theif, a reaver, a slayer, with gigantic melancholis and gigantic mirth, to tread the jeweled thrones of the Earth under his Sandaled feet."1
Welcome to the Hyborian Age, which in time I hope will become the largest Role Playing Game on H2G2. Over the next six months I intend to create the entire Hyborian world, including cities and temples that can be visited and interacted like any other RPG on H2G2. The difference being that this game is so big. I'm writing this whilst still building, and have roughly 20 or so location guide enteries already with only five countries done in the Hyborian Kingdoms. Theres still another elven countries to do, along with all the southern and eastern (as well as islands and temples) left to do. The greatest strength of this game however is that the Hyborian age of the Conan stories can directly be transfered from the real world - all you really need is a basic knowledge of history. Even without this theres plenty of information about thats crying out to be used.

One of the things that will set this game apart is that its not going to be run as such by any one person. Instead, it will be run by Games Masters. They will control individual plots and such within the game, giving it free access to all. They can choose as they like to bring in players, modify rules, and so on and so forth. For anyone interested in becoming a Games Master, please go to this page.
Another thing that sets it apart is its sheer size. This game will argueably be the biggest game on H2G2. Whether it will be successful is another thing, however the Hyborian kingdom itself covers europe and asia, as well as africa. Its my hope that eventually all locations will be listed.
Apart from that could new players please post on the roster page - this is basically for Games Masters and myself, allowing us to see different players what they have and such without having to ask you repeatedly.
I've also created a general players page for you all. This contains maps of the Hyborian Kingdom, the core rules used by most Games Masters, and other bits you might need.
Apart from that, have fun!
