So h2g2 will let me post if I do it from 360...
Hehe, I misread "recent discussions" as "recent disorders". Well, it made sense on the health forum. My recent disorders include Bipolar II, Hypothyroid most notably.
The dogs are howling outside. I really have to take mine for a walk soon.

Hey Lookit!

I just visited "The Collective" just now for the first time. I don't really know what it is but I like that it has a button to add a Journal Entry (known in "The Collective" as a "weblog entry" or something) at the top or the weblogs/journal entries rather than making you scroll all the way down to the bottom of your visible journal entries! So when I store this entry, will it take me back to the Borg or back to my regular Personal Space on h2g2?

Recapturing my lost youth
Posted Feb 11, 2004
I bought three cds the other day. Kate Bush, The Whole Story; Cocteau Twins, Garlands and The Essential Adam Ant. I had been planning to buy recordings on cd by these particular artists the next time I was at a record store and this is what I ended up with. I have Garlands and The Whole Story and a different Ant album in other media but I am starting to replace some of these things with cds. I am too lazy to play records and they are not portable. The tapes are warped and squeak horribly. All are at least 20 years old.
So I was listening to my new cds a couple of nights ago on the cd player on this computer while surfing the internet starting with the Kate Bush. I decided to go and look for websites or fansites for whatever I was listening to. This is one of my favorite albums but I realize now that I knew almost nothing about it. I did not know how popular Kate Bush was almost everywhere else but here in the US! We were completely oblivious while her albums topped the charts EVERYWHERE ELSE. I did not listen to the radio much then. I guess she got airplay on college radio here. I did not listen to that much either but I knew people who did and they must have turned me on to her.
I also looked up lyrics for the songs on the album I was listening to. I learned that where I always thought that she was saying "just when I think I'm sane" she is actually saying "just when I think I'm king". Well that is actually what it sounded like but I couldn't figure out why she would be saying that cause wouldn't she be queen? So I thought it might be "queen" but it sounded better to me as "sane". I like it better that way myself, anyways.
I was frustrated that I could not find a proper official website for Kate Bush. I found several fan sites most of which were out of date. There were links to an official site but they were bad. Many of the other links were bad too. I'd love to be able to do a Guide Entry on her but there doesn't seem to be any information about Kate Bush's activities more recent than 1996 or so. Might there be something more current in print somewhere. I'd hate to have to actually read a book but I also hate to rely on stale information.
