The title of a monologue which was included on this radio show last night: http://www.nextbigthing.org/
The monologue gave me the idea for this entry which could also be titled "a list of celebrities I would like to have call me up on the phone and tell me they can't stop thinking about me"

Hey lookit! GuideML! On my very own page! Created by me! Lookit, Lookit I can set up my own page in GuideML! I cannot tell you all how excited this makes me! It is all I can do not to end every sentence here with an "!" I will try to refrain settle down.
I can now see why some researchers have such elaborate pages. GuideML is very addictive when you can get it to work.
Thank you for visiting. Carry-on.

Now I feel like a better Minnesotan.
Posted Mar 4, 2004
I went to the caususes. I volunteered to be secratary, a delegate and an election judge. I've always thought I should be an election judge.
My mom was an election judge a few years ago in California. I wasn't there but it was awful for her. Their polling place was some redneck's garage. The other judges were all Republicans and were asking voters if they were voting republican. And gloating about how well they thought republicans were going to do. They were completely unaware that my mother was a Democrat. They did not ask her. They did ask her why she was not smiling. My mother is such flippin' a doormat that rather than chewing them out and reporting them to the election authorities she told them she couldn't smile due to a facial paralysis which she has. The whole story is heartbreaking cause she's so sensative about that and I'm sure there weren't even aware of it. But goddess, I wish I'd been there to kick their @$$&$ or at least report them to the independant international election observers we should have in the US every year.
We won't have that problem here though. Kucinich won my ward yesterday. Ha. He did better in Minnesota than I think he's done anywhere.
So I'm gonna be a delegate to some other convention at the end of this month. I'd love to go to the National Convention and to the electoral college if delegates can actually go to that. I hate it that all the delegates from a state go to the candidate with the majority of votes in any given state though. I'd hate for my vote to go to the Shrub. The Republicans are saying we are going to be a battleground state this year. I look forward to rubbing an overwhelming Democratic landslide in their pretty faces.
