I survived...we had eriie new year with fog you only read/see in Sherlock Holmes books/movie. the fireworks went silent around 1am local time with few exeptions, of course. the fog was so thick I could see about 20 yard around me so no coloured fireworks high in the air.

We had a nice, warm, clear New Years Eve here, and I went to First Night downtown. They had bands, food, and a great fireworks display!

We used up all our fireworks at the milenium, so we have to wait a few years for the city to afford more.
