What a privilege this is.
I was about Nine years old when The Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy was first broadcast and I was immediately hooked. I think the best thing about discovering it at such a reltively young age was that I could keep re-reading it and understanding and appreciating more as I got older. I still remember that I was about 15 when I got the joke about how "jumping into Hyper-Space is unpleasantly like being drunk". Anyway, enough fawning Mr Adams and onto me. The following all apply to me (in no particular order) :- 29, Female, Work for a major insurance company, Drink Bacardi, Know how to use a powerdrill, Shoe addict, 80's Music fan, Love Eddie Izzard, Have been to Legoland (in Denmark, not Windsor), Trying to design my own web page, Enjoy Star Trek but am not a nerd (I hope), meat eater, blonde. What can I contribute ? This is yet to be established though I do have strong opinions on High Heel shoes and women who constantly say to me "How can you walk in those things ?" ....Grrrrrrr. Only time will tell what I submit, in the meantime, I have put h2g2 at the very top of my "favourites" list. Regards DeeConversations
