I'm not uncomfortable... I'm just nervous because I've already tried the trick of being attached to someone thirty thousand kilometers away, and it really sucks. I was trying to avoid making the same mistake twice, but my heart never seems to listen to my head's opinion...
Where did the thread go??!!!
...
I can't find it now! Do you know where it is? Can you post something to it again so I can find it?
The pink room is a good name; gives it a nice balance with the blue room.
I still don't know how the workshop looks, either. We'll have to put that off for a while too... mind you we can always come back and change it anyway...

Ah, I know what's happened now... I assumed that because I'd made the entry I'd be automatically signed up to any conversations that start at the bottom of it... nope I was wrong. I never even saw it!
Didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable...
I think I'll go and subscribe to all my entries now... and then after I've finished with the backlog of posts I'll sign in as us, and do the same with the new entries you've made there...

"Didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable"
oh thats ok. just so long as i didnt make /you/ feel uncomfortable.
and thats a good plan i think.
i've done part of the kitchen... i'm not entirely happy wiht it...i think its missing something or something like that....
Gub.
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Oct 4, 2004
ok. thats true.
thats why i posted it instead of waiting.
pssstt... come visit me in the kitchen or the sewing room... or perhaps you should come on over to the casltes in the air thread and help invent more rooms. that is if you're not there allreqady while i was posting this...

Sorry that took so long, I got a text and had to go research something...
The hall is great! But now I'm wondering, where does the lounge fit now? Can we have it between the hall and the staircase, so that when you're in the hall looking at the stairs, you're looking across the lounge?
Gub.
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Oct 4, 2004
did you mean instead of having the description of the other two corridors have the lounge behing hte spiral staircase? shure why not.
so what should it look like?
Gub.
Jerms - a Brief flicker and then gone again. Posted Oct 4, 2004
Nah I meant so you walk in the door into the front hall (tapestries on the walls - very cool!) ... not sure where the corridors go, so I'm not sure whether they attach to the hall or the lounge... walk forward into the lounge... waterfall on the left (pool room behind it!), stream crosses the room from left to right. Walk forward again, across the stream. Large double door to the ballroom on the right, large window out to the courtyard-type garden on the left. Can see the near corner of the pond outside through the window. Walk forward again; now standing at the base of the large stone spiral staircase. Behind the staircase is the door to the home-theatre room. Up the staircase is a balcony, which leads to corridors in two directions; they lead to the bathroom(s) and bedrooms.
Other stuff like the garden path up to the observatory, the library, the workshop and the sewing room above it, are all further back somewhere. Not sure where yet. I'll have to wait until I've drawn the map and see where I've put them.
Sound good to you? What do you think?

Arisztid Lugosi Posted Oct 4, 2004

Goodnight honey. Sleep well!
"Is the waterfall before the window?" Yes it is, although the stream isn't just /straight/ across the lounge, it's more sort of... well if you're walking north to go through the front door, through the hall and into the lounge, then the stream runs sorta from westnorthwest to eastsoutheast. So the waterfall's quite close to the window. I'll try to draw a map, that'll make things easier!
