ok i see what you mean about the kitchen and you're right. i was satching trading spaces the other night, and i saw something that gives me an idea. why not have black walls and bifferent colored table tops, counteres, and cubbords, or something...
gas fires are someting i never thought of. its a great idea. especially because spiders like to hide in wood piles. i'm terrified of spiders. thats one of the reasons i couldnt live in a castle all my myself. i'd need someone to come and sqish spiders for me. i'm too sissy to do even that.
about having secret rooms that we dont know about...
we're going to have to hire someone to build this... so maybe they can put in a few that we dont know about. either that or we buy an existing castle and add on to it...
"Unless you put in so many that you forgot where they all are... " that is a very difinate and real possibility...very
as for the exploring adventure i think we'll have to wait for the castle to be built. quite unfortunately. but as soon as either you or i win the lottery and become very very rich we'll have to do that.
so we definately need some fog. i love it. and you're right its very peaceful. i also think its kind of mysterious... and it reminds me of sherlock holmes... but it totally has to be the kind that you cant see your own hand in. otherwise its not as much fun, or as mysterious.
as for staircases... have you ever seen the 1931 dracula with bela lugosi? its got some cool staircases, ans castle type thingys...
by dining room i meant a formal one for banquets... even though it would probably end up being like ballroom. the kitchen table and stuff is the one with teh view and i thought it should be kind of in the kitchen jsut beyond the counters... if that makes sence.
well i'm not going to voulnteer to wash windows either, and i also hate house cleaning... so maybe we should get someone in every so often... after all if we're rich enough for this castle....
and i was thinking about waht you said about ending up wiht a strange looking castle because you'd try to put too many things in it. i know exactly what you mean. but i think if we just decide the4 layout of the rooms then put a roof on it it should be fine so long as we have a few towers and battle ments ect. and a drawbridge...

...and crennelations and a keep and a gantry and...
Black walls and different coloured horizontal surfaces! Yess!!! It's a deal!
I don't mind spiders too much, but then we only have two types of poisonous spiders here, so I probably just don't have to be too wary... besides, they catch mosquitos and stop them from biting me in my sleep...
I'd probably be too paranoid about letting someone else design and built my 'perfect' castle... I'd get frustrated 'coz I /know/ they'd get something wrong and I wouldn't be able to do anything about it afterward...
I think we'll have to put in so many that we forget where they all are... Another deal!
I wonder if I won the lottery on the weekend? I still haven't had time to find out!
Even if I did win, I'd have to split it, 'coz the ticket was a birthday present and I was told I had to split it if I win.
Mmmfog! The peasoupier the better!
No! I haven't seen it! I so want to though, I know it's a classic!
I have the DVD of the original of House on Haunted Hill, with Vincent Price. That's pretty cool. And I've read the original short story of Dracula, the first one ever.
I don't mind house cleaning so much, but I think an entire castle would be too intense!

i could go on inventing things for this castle forever!!!
i dont think spiders here are poisionous... maybe the blackwiddows.. but i've never seen any in my house.... but i'm scared none the less... they're so icky... so could you do me a favour and squish them when i find one in the castle? i mean i'll come running and get you and be very worked up about it... and you'll get there and it'll either be gone or really small... but can you do me that little favour?
i didnt think about anyone screwing up on my perfect castle... you're right we need to make up the plans ourselves... and put in so many that we dont remember waht we put in....
so thats 2 deals then .
good, i'm glad we're agreed.
lotery ticket? birthday preasent?
*thinks frantically 'i forgot jerms' birthday!!! oh no!... oh wait, never nind i got him that box full of ...fewf*
i love dracula! its my favorite movie! but it has to be the 1931 movie wiht bela lugosi, music by philip glass, and directed by tod browning. its brilliant... or at least i think so...
i think i have house on haunted hill... yes.. i do.. i cant really remember it... i'll have to go and watch it again now that i know you like it...i'll pay more attention to it this time... whats your favorite part?
i'n trying to read the original dracula... but i lost the book, but now that i'm reminded i'll go and search for it as soon as i log off... much later...
i agree that the castle would be too much... can we please have a little hired help?
i dont mind cleaning up my messes.. or even that of my friends so much... but if its a dirty dish my brothers left out right by the empty dishwasher then i get a little...

I'd be your hero; I'll deal to those nasty spiders for you.
I'm definitely going to have to spend a month or two shortening my list of movies I haven't seen yet but want to.
House on haunted hill isn't my /favourite/ movie, although I do like it a lot. My favourite part is in the new version, where the woman with the video camera can see the ghosts on screen but not in front of her.
And I like the fact that the plot is the same as the old one, right up until the point where the old one ends, and the new one keeps going and puts a whole new twist on it.
Hired help, sure! My Russian looks pretty sexy in a maid's uniform, although I don't think he'd want me to tell you that...
And I know what you mean about your brother's dishes; I had so many flatmates like that. That's part of the reason I live alone now...
Gub.
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Aug 25, 2004
awww.. thanks jerms. you would be my hero! definately without a doubt
i'm going to have to see the new version too then... that sounds really neat! what is your favorite movie then?
russian? sexy maids outfit?... is he a he? or a she? ... i just assumed it was a guy.... hmm.... besides i'm partial to having a butler.... 'you rang ma'am?' yes.. that sounds fun...
living alone must be nice... but then again.. who would squish spiders for me?

Favourite movie... hmmm. Tricky to say, 'coz it keeps changing, although the Princess Bride has always been in my top five. I LOVE the Lord of the Rings trilogy.. I reckon Tolkien would have been SO proud if he could have watched it... Maybe I'll spend some of my holiday money on the extended version of the Return of the King... but I really should get my DVD player fixed first...
He's a he, although there was this one time, at a live Rocky Horror show, when it was a bit hard to tell...
Living alone's okay; it gets a bit lonely though. And it's pretty easy to find a place spider-free.
Gub.
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Aug 25, 2004
i love princess bride too!!! i own that one. its so good. but you know the guy who played fessik? his real life was so so sad!!! i was so upset to hear that hed died, and why. of course it happened a while ago, but i only jsut found out about it.
i think i'd be lonely too. and i dont think any place is ever truely spider free....

Yeah I heard about that, but at least he was happy near the end.
You can get that stuff you spray around the base of a building, and most insects and vermin and arachnids don't want to cross it 'coz it smells like poison to them, even though humans can't smell it. And it lasts for ages. And, to be doubly certain, you can get an upstairs flat where crawling creatures almost never get to anyway!
Gub.
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Aug 25, 2004
that sound like a very good idea!!! i didnt know that kind of spray existed.
was he happy near the end? i cant remember?
Gub.
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Aug 25, 2004
my absolute favoite movie is dracula... 1931 with blea lugosi. i think hes brilliant... but he had a pretty sad life as well.
i think as far as favorites go that may change.... before that it was soldier... and then the mummy.... and i cant remember anything else but likeing 'safe house' very much... probably because i'm a trekkie and it had partic stewart in it.

i wasnt expecting to see you today... but i'm so so glad to see you!!!
hooray!
but like i said in the absolutely beautiful thread i dont know how long i'll be on for... my brother wants it ans as it is i think this is stolen time... i snuck it befoere he could get here... but i'll be on as soon as he gets off... if he even takes it. i'll try and tell him that theres a raid going on in the viking ship and a goblin attack in teh magicians guild. and he'll look at me funny like i've gone insane... but maybe he'll listen. i dont know what else to tell him to convince him to let me have it... any ideas?

Yeah... I know what you mean.
He's your /younger/ brother right? There are a million ways for an older sibling to annoy a younger sibling... I can't think of any specific ones off the top of my head but I'm sure you already know more than I do anyway...
You know what he hates most; just threaten that if he takes too long...
Gub.
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Aug 30, 2004
yeah, hes my younger brother.
hmmm... what does he really hate...? i'm haveing trouble thining of somthing...
i hate to pull that trick on him, but if he gives me no other choice...
a very good idea though, thanks. now i've just got to think of something.
it seems he knows how to push all my buttons, but i cant raly be bothered to push his or even find out what they are... i'm older so i get introuble...
Gub.
Jerms - a Brief flicker and then gone again. Posted Aug 30, 2004
"...I'm older so I get in trouble..." Hmm... you get into trouble because you're older and therefore have more responsibility... so if you ask him to do something he has to have a /really/ good reason for not doing it, else he's the one who'll get into trouble, right?
Gub.
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Aug 30, 2004
i wish that was the way it woeked!
but it isnt it jsut means i have more responisibility and he has hardly any... baby of the family...
i have to go in 15 mins. its his turn the. he got all mad and when i tryed to explain to him that i wanted it longer he got all mad. and then my dad stepped in and said it was his turn... and then theres mo use aruging because i'll jsut be in trouble.
Gub.
